I expected the worst when i found out that the guest was a commenter on the show…but it turned out that there was a great chemistry between him and GV so it worked pretty well.

    Yeah, Bogle is pretty good, especially at the under $12 price point, but I think that Glen might like the ‘biggerness” of 2006 Concannon’s Reserve Livermore Valley Petite Sirah: “Rich in plum and blackberry characteristics. Deep purple hue and luscious mouthfeel, with ample tannins. While this wine can be drunk now, this wine is built to age and will develop more mid-palate and rounded finish over time.” (from the website)
    Food Pairing:Veal chops, grilled flank steak with chimichurri sauce or wild game.
    Production: 550 cases: $38, 14.5% alcohol

    Wine Crazy did you ever deal in Nevada? Either Laughlin or Vegas. I was a pit supervisor for a long time (I got out after 9-11) and you really look familiar.

    So I'm one of the lurkers and I had thought about leaving a comment about how much I like this guest vs some of the others anyway, but then felt like I had to come from behind the curtain on this one. Awesome show~no self promoters, just great discussion about wine. QOTD ~ David Caffaro Petite Sirah (2007 I think). Had it over the weekend and loved it.
