I expected the worst when i found out that the guest was a commenter on the show…but it turned out that there was a great chemistry between him and GV so it worked pretty well.

    Great show & guest!
QOTD: 2002 Cafaro Cab, 1997 Pride Cab franc, 2005 TOR To-Kalon, 2003 Arcadian Syrah Westerly Vineyard, 1985 Congress Springs Cab Franc, 2007 Paul Hobbs cab.

MUCH better choice of Vayniac than yesterday. Glen, I respect the fact that you owned your palate in front of Gary. Please don't discount the French paradox my friend.

QOTD: Most of the BIG wines that I drink are cheap (under $10) wines. Juicy Syrahs probably head the list. Pillar Box Red ($8) year after year delivers. CMS blends (Cab, Syrah, Merlot) like 2007 Hedges CMS (at $10) are nice. When I spend $25-35 I usually want wines that are more balanced even if they are mouthfilling. 2003 Cougar Crest Syrah ($36) comes to mind. Certainly 2005 Hewittson “Private Cellar” Shiraz/Mouvedre ($24) is foremost in that class.

Great show, the interaction seemed more real than usual. Loved the 2+ minute closer as well, we could all tell that both of you were having a blast and a half! I wish it could be me but I guess the guest door has closed 😉 Glen, always nice to put a face to the name on this awesome informative and always entertaining site. This ep filled me with Vayniac pride (all be it non OG Vayniac pride).

QOTD: Molly Dooker Carnival is probably the most bombastic I have tried recently, but I am from Zin country. We shower in fruit bombs down here, come to think of it that explains a lot. Michael and David 7 deadly Zins is huge too, to “fakey fake” for me. To Glen and all other Vayniacs Keep on keepin on!! PROST!

I searched 'big juicy wine' and this was the first image. http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_N5C8Dmr7ALU/SxHKW9JXX…. Good show guys….though it may have been 3.5 times better if you would have done a cigar tasting along with the wine. Incorporation of two loves (wine and cigars) in one show. Two birds, one stone.

  • njc2o

Holy shit a moderately interesting guest! Thank the lord! Good show guys.

QOTD: Agharta. Shafer Hillside Select Cab and Shafer Relentless. GARY BUY ME SOME

Gary – I introduced myself to you at Binny's in Chicago. You recommended a Beaujolais that was outstanding and went very well with our tasting menu. Thanks again for taking the time to talk.

QOTD: Just cracked a 2004 Weinert Malbec from Argentina that's seriously bombastic! Not quite my style, but it sounds like it might be right up your alley, WineCrazy.

Make Gary give you the Summers La Provincial 2007 half bottle that I lugged out there from California in my checked baggage for him to taste in April and he hasn't gottten back to me.
    Nada.

Special bottling, many say it's young but I liked the overall style, Californiaish, and I think it's your style to.

Go back and make Gary give it to you if the staff hasn't “commissioned” it. Or taste it with him and speak to me.

  • Loved this show, especially coming after the last guest (No disrespect to M^2, but he doesn't hold a candle to a long time Vayniac like Glen). WineCrazy your are so genuine it's awesome!

QOTD: I don't know if I have ever had a hugely juicy and big wine, but after taking a look at all these comments I will be tasting one soon to know what ya'll are talking about.

    Dear Glen;
I too haven't missed an episode of Winelibrary TV for the past two years and it has now become a part of my day. Thank you so much for representing some of us lurkers. I think you personified to Vaynerchuk how much he contributes to our lives on a daily basis. We couldn't have selected a better representative. Thank you so much.

  • winecrazy

Yeah..tell that to Gary and his sceduale…I tried…believe me I tried. He's WAY TOO BUSY. Maybe after the summer??? 🙂

  • wineqpr

Yo boss, I'm a Sommelier in Seattle, WA. Here is a wine that may be difficult for you to find but well worth the effort. One of the biggest and most dialed in wines from the state! Enjoy
