Good show, I liked the guest. She didn’t try to pretend that she knew more than she actually did.

  • The funniest thing about this, is the minute the video image loaded and I saw the sippy cup, I wondered why the hell my kid’s cup was left out… Weird?

  • NY Pete

    hey hey

  • Salty. Fun show, love the story about the lemonade stand and giving kids a $20 spot, cracks me up how exited kids get.

Best guest in a while (nice and light hearted)

    Cheers

    I’m in.

Nice guest. It’s great to have a totally offbeat show occasionally. Keep it up. QOTD: Gotta have the sweet with the salty, e.g. toffeed peanuts.

  • Mad house wife….

The wine world is really mad…

  • NY Pete

    no spitting WTG Marile!

  • I like the names on these wines, quirky fun stuff.

    QOTD: Sweet.

(sometimes both at the same time)

  • Hey, good episode!QoTD: Sweet wins! Love salty stuff, but couldn’t do without sweets…

    top ten!

Listend to the whole show last night……you must have forgot me agian Homey

    Sweet!!!!

  • Very nice show with a great guest who knew the price points!

QOTD: Sweet, hands down, i.e. desserts. I don’t know of too many salty things that I care much to eat.

    Go Colts!

    Cheers

Pure fun… great guest and a great casual Friday show!!! Thanks GV and Marile.

    QOTD: SALTY!!!

  • Ummm…urr…oh man. Ask me to predict football scores, I’m in. Salty or sweet. Blood is coming out my nose.

    Sweet. I think….

G is in a tape delayed time warp. We have no idea what date he thinks it is.

The links say Beers tasted this episode!I liked the show. Is there a site for moms whoneedmen.com?

  • Yeah this was an interesting week. I am already looking forward to next weeks episodes.
Anywho…QOTD: Salty but that is too broad for my taste. How about ‘Perfectly Seasoned’?

  • Anonymous

Both. What was the purpose of this episode? Gimmicky wines that exp;oit housewive’s lack of knowledge of wine. The first two wines you described are incredible rip offs at $10 and the third that I have had because a neighbor brought it over is barely worth $5-6 to me. So what have we learned? Don’t drink wine from a sippy cup!

  • That was clever and should have been my answer, I just wanted to sound more sophisticated by shunning my sweet receptors. God I am a nerd.

Great show GV. A real, regular, one of us type of person.
QOTD: I’ll take pickles over cannolis. Actually pickles with cannolis and a nice Chianti sounds great.

    QOTD: Salty.

Not much to say except I probably wasn’t going to buy Mommy’s Time Out Pinot Grigio before I watched this episode and now I’m DEFINITELY not going to buy it.

Beers? I just noticed it, lol. Mott is not allowed to ever go on vacation. He must be freaking out watching all the bad links this week.

  • QOTD: Sweet.

I will keep it simple in the comments.

I do vote for the simple show over the guest show.

  • Jay

    Good show.

QOTD: So in my world that’s tortilla chips vs chocolate and I like them both! I will go with Salty. 🙂

  • QOTD 🙂 sweet. I liked how Gary found a person tapping into The Social Media World .And looking where to run with her concept, fantastic.

  • QOTD Sweet. Liked the idea Gary showin us another person using the power of Social Media to get her message out to the people and good that one of the three was in the higher 80s.

  • The sippy cup tasting was hilarious, as was the lemonade stand story. Great growth story from Marile.

QOTD: Salty. My wife is sweet. Guess that’s why we’re together, LOL.

Coming on with inexpensive wine, they knew the risks!

QOTD: Sweet, you can have sweet at many different levels, even in savoury, ok salt is also versatile.

  • Anonymous

QOTD: Sweet but I do love salt but have to go with sweet.

    QOTD: Sweet

You didnt taste the bandit! oh well. See you monday gary!

Marile, congrats on being Gary’s LAST guest of 2010! GV, don’t forget in episode 894 (and once before though I can’t find the exact episode right now) you said only SIX more guests this year… excluding Sasha, Brandon, and random cameos, we’ve now had six! I’m holding you to just Gary & the Vayniacs for the rest of the 2010!!

That aside, I enjoyed this since I’ll probably be needing some ‘daddy’ wines sometime in the next 5 years 🙂 It’s also always fun to see Gary in teacher mode- good job!

    QOTD: YES.
(by which I mean both- together!)

(ps please change the chalkboard with each episode like in the old days- things stay fresher that way!)

And how could I forget Justin from yesterday’s episode! Also in the ‘excluding’ list.

…its all about the label. they just had to put something wine-ish on the inside of the bottle. but i can see how moms would think it was hillarious and buy it just for the bottle. i would probably do the same thing for fishing (wait, i have collected as many “fish” related beers as i can).

  • Anonymous

    astute observation my dear watson

  • Anonymous

qotd: salty for sure. A little salt will reduce the tannins and make a wine smoother!

Fun show…little people (like me) 😉

  • castello…..bad man. Bad funny man. 😛

  • Yeah, I’m always curious about that. I did find ‘The Show’ over the summer and it was pretty oakey. That’s the extent of my wine skill.

i just like to hear if there are any changes in vintages of box/tetrapak wine

He’ll I’d get excited right now if someone gave me a $20.

    ????????????

Where the f*** is the couch? damn 😛

    Qotd: Sweet

    Weekend all.

    Is all.

  • Anonymous

QOTD: I go SALTY all day long… although the real magic is in the sweet-salty pairing, the contrast that creates perfect balance on the palate.

    QOTD: Salty. Any day.

I tend to like the shows where the guest can stand up to Gary when it comes to wine knowledge, and so I just go back in time to find another WLTV show whenever there’s to much schoolin’ going on. In this case I stumbled upon 605. What a treat. Gary V wins every time. Dammit! Thanks for being such inspiration, Gary!

Nice guest and good tight episode. Thanks. Where’s the “link-it-up”. We do miss Mott.

  • Today I am too the point

    QOTD: Salty
