Lovin the Grenache blends lately. Some CdPs can disappoint for the money. My palate seems to line up fairly well lately with yours so I’m in for a couple of the Cali Unti. Can I get some free shipping. Why no hype for your Tahoe trip? You are there tonight right?
I have been crushing a ton of Grenache love this WLTV episode.

Tonight I’m going to break into some Pinot brought back from Alsace earlier in the month or if I can hold off on that some Cocodrillio from Paul Hobbs, a step down from his Bramare but still very good in the under under 20 dollar range.
Really loved this week! Absolutely awesome. UNTI is big time… I remember a big sommelier in Los Angeles writing about Unti in her blog too. I have also tried it and their petite syrah, good stuff from my favorite wine region in the Country.
QOTD: Chargers vs. Cardinals — big turn around for the Chargers 21-17 win against the 2-1 Cardinals. It almost reads like I watch football. Doing it for Gary. Still cannot wait for hockey season! Can we do the same thing (predictions) when the NHL rolls around?
I will be drinking some more growers champagne this week, particularly: Gaston Chiquet Carte Verte Brut Premier Cru Tradition à Dizy and some Marc Hebrart NV.

Good tight show. QOD’s *** Seahawks 24 – Rams – 21. Neon Leon Washington sticks it to the Jets again with 150 all purpose yards on returns. “Don’t Tate that Doughnut” Golden continues his rise to stardom with 100 all purpose yards, and ex Seahawk kicker for the Rams misses field goal at end for tie. I will be drinking Sazaracks tonight in anticipation of the weekend of FOOTBALL, Margaritas along with the appropriate carne asada Sat night for the (next) Husky loss to the hated Trojans in LA, Bloody Marys on Sunday morning to watch the Hawks WIN, and finally, a Frank Family Cab I just got from a recent trip to Napa for the Sunday evening steak bbq and cab night. This weekend I intend to drink a lot of different Rhone wines. Had a Crozes-Hermitage for dinner tonight. 88 p from me, Le Haute de fife, Cave de Tain 2007.Violtes, herbs, craneberry, soft spicy tannins, sour red fruit on the end. A very food friendly wine.

Hey,
What do you think about extending the uncertainty period in these brown bag wine tastings? Someone picking a wine to be tasted a few times year or more. Maybe even having the wine featured at some point to see if it is recognized or not. Just to highlight the time variance and complexities of wine.

Meanwhile, I will be enjoying the 2007 Baltos (Mencia from Bierzo) and 2006 Estay (100% Prieto Picudo). Both wines from Spain. And checking out the 90+ brand this weekend too with the Lot 2; Sauv. Blanc.
