Mmmm grenache. Wow can’t believe Gary’s so down on the Barroche given the scores, etc. It actually sounds like something I might go for. GSM stands for Good Schtuf Man!

GREAT GREAT GREAT SHOW!
Have a kick-ass weekend ALL! CHEERS!
By the way drinkin’ some Grenache myself this evening: 2007 Clos du Mont-Oliviet, and it’s a bona-fide CLASSIC! Has everything going for it, 95p. Would love to try Cuvee Papet from same vintage for sure. . .
Qotd: Castello Di Ama Chianti 2006.
By the way: “You little slut wine” could turn out to be classic GV.. just sayin’!
Surprising Results for sure. It’s OK G.

Lovin the Grenache blends lately. Some CdPs can disappoint for the money. My palate seems to line up fairly well lately with yours so I’m in for a couple of the Cali Unti. Can I get some free shipping. Why no hype for your Tahoe trip? You are there tonight right?
I have been crushing a ton of Grenache love this WLTV episode.
I’m stoked to say I will be in St. Louis at Taste of St. Louis so who knows what I will pwn. As for football I predict that the Chiefs, my boys, remain undefeated and a side prediction my boy Brad Smith for the Jets has a return for a TD! M-I-Z!
Tonight I’m going to break into some Pinot brought back from Alsace earlier in the month or if I can hold off on that some Cocodrillio from Paul Hobbs, a step down from his Bramare but still very good in the under under 20 dollar range.
Really loved this week! Absolutely awesome. UNTI is big time… I remember a big sommelier in Los Angeles writing about Unti in her blog too. I have also tried it and their petite syrah, good stuff from my favorite wine region in the Country.
QOTD: Chargers vs. Cardinals — big turn around for the Chargers 21-17 win against the 2-1 Cardinals. It almost reads like I watch football. Doing it for Gary. Still cannot wait for hockey season! Can we do the same thing (predictions) when the NHL rolls around?
I will be drinking some more growers champagne this week, particularly: Gaston Chiquet Carte Verte Brut Premier Cru Tradition ร Dizy and some Marc Hebrart NV.
It was a great show, indeed. This week has been enthralling. That quote was great, I almost thought it was another lady from Florida he was talking about.
QOTD #2 – This weekend I’ll be drinking a homemade Syrah/Zin blend that a friend made.

Good link! I think I read about this guys full cluster method. I guess that means no de-stemming? Can’t wait to try some.

Good tight show. QOD’s *** Seahawks 24 – Rams – 21. Neon Leon Washington sticks it to the Jets again with 150 all purpose yards on returns. “Don’t Tate that Doughnut” Golden continues his rise to stardom with 100 all purpose yards, and ex Seahawk kicker for the Rams misses field goal at end for tie. I will be drinking Sazaracks tonight in anticipation of the weekend of FOOTBALL, Margaritas along with the appropriate carne asada Sat night for the (next) Husky loss to the hated Trojans in LA, Bloody Marys on Sunday morning to watch the Hawks WIN, and finally, a Frank Family Cab I just got from a recent trip to Napa for the Sunday evening steak bbq and cab night. After that water for the next 5 days…
Couch! How I missed thee. We got the gray shirt this Friday though…CdP let everyone down this ep, but WTG Cali. The slut comment made my jaw drop…hilarious.
QOTD1: Michigan 36 Indiana 20
QOTD2: A variety of beers at Brewtopiafest on Saturday, assuming I kick this cold. Not sure what vino will be at my friend’s wedding, but we’ll see soon enough on Sunday.
Good call on the Aussie. Is the 2007 Cdp to young? Got 2 of tha Barroche Terroir in the cellar.
QOTD: No football prediction, I’m not on par with that right now. Ryder Cup I’m on par with…
This weekend I intend to drink a lot of different Rhone wines. Had a Crozes-Hermitage for dinner tonight. 88 p from me, Le Haute de fife, Cave de Tain 2007.Violtes, herbs, craneberry, soft spicy tannins, sour red fruit on the end. A very food friendly wine.
Thank you. I love the restaurants she is responsible for, if ever in LA you must check them out. What restaurants you ask? While I will list them in this forum: Lucques, Tavern and AOC wine bar! Her and her partner hold down in Los Angeles.
Are you not also getting giddy about my champagne selection? I cannot wait for this night to begin… bubbles away!
I still pull for the lions because I love underdogs. Heartache, it is a big part of my bag.
Bordeaux… always good, with a nice dinner?

Hey,
What do you think about extending the uncertainty period in these brown bag wine tastings? Someone picking a wine to be tasted a few times year or more. Maybe even having the wine featured at some point to see if it is recognized or not. Just to highlight the time variance and complexities of wine.
The Dirty Dane
I will give you a football prediction; my team, FC Copenhagen – the pride of Denmark – will go to Barcelona and wipe the grin of Mesi’s face.
Meanwhile, I will be enjoying the 2007 Baltos (Mencia from Bierzo) and 2006 Estay (100% Prieto Picudo). Both wines from Spain. And checking out the 90+ brand this weekend too with the Lot 2; Sauv. Blanc.
