Gary Vaynerchuk recently asked for show suggestions on the WLTV forums and ran with Weston’s idea to taste more Southern French whites. One of Jimkay’s suggestions come through as well! Gary decided to make it more interesting and taste blind!

line of the day – ‘Kinda smells like the back of a restaurant’

Gary was on point as usual with the blind tastings but Mott…what on earth are you talking about. you didn’t like ‘It’s a wonderful life’. That’s one of the best films ever made…and in fact my second favourite film of all time. Watch it again, please, with no distractions, and tell me you didn’t like it.

    Your right. It’s time to read up on wine and think for ourselves. Anyone like HESS Cab Select? I thought it was great when I had it a few years ago and tonight it seems a little chalky to me. Whats the best way to filter out that chalkiness?

    With GV out in a well deserved family vacation, I eased my WLTV thirst with some Archives Episodes: #18, #42, #111, #568, #767 ? It helps a lot with the craving symptoms.

    Depending on the vineyard they got it from their Cab does tend to have quite a bit of tannin. Howell Mountain (which they sometimes get their select from) Cab can be a tannin monster. You could decant it, but that probably will not help with the chalkiness.
