    Nice start. Way to pick out winners grape-ape. The only thing I hate about 2-parters is the lack of qotd. Mosts guests that get a 2-part are worth watching.

    Interesting book cover (the guy has this weird smirk on his face), but people seem to like the guy so far. I will reserve judgment until the 2nd episode is viewed and the QOTD emerges.

  • Both of Mark’s books are awesome. Well written and a great book for anyone wanting to get into wine – I have enjoyed both of them and think Mark is a great addition to the wine world. Thanks for having him on the show – very enjoyable.

    Love Betz and agree its a great list to get on, but now that the word is out need to stock up before WL empties it lot

  • First of all, I’m psyched for the Madeira tomorrow.

    Second, I can’t believe people still don’t know about WA wines. I know that some are in the know out there on the east coast, but most people are still hesitant for some reason. I’m not complaining because it’s kept prices down for us in WA, but wow… it’s hard to believe.

Great guest, Oldman is uber cool… ordering his book as soon as done typing this. And a 94 pt GV for $40??? WOW!! Also going to order bottles of that Betz. I know what a crazy notion this may seem to be, but never have I been one to turn down the beckoning thunder of WLTV! Hitherto, my eleven posts have been frivolous and in vain..     I’m on the Betz list! Hahahahaha!
    Fantastic wines, and ridiculously good people. After placing an order this fall I was driving through Woodinville after business hours, called on the off chance someone might be in the office. No one was, but Bob Betz himself rode down from his home to the winery, let me in, fetched me my wines and showed me around the cellar a bit. Absolutely awesome.
