Okay show but best bits were all GV going on about the Jets. Possibly longest Jets talk ever.

  • Top 10, now to watch the show

  • Hey-ohhh!

  • Let’s go Britney on the corny line, “If I told you you had a great body, would you hold it against me?”

Geez…Bring out the corn on the cob straight from Iowa on all these comments.

Good episode as usual, was impressed by the guest’s wine knoledge and tasting ability since he’s been drinking for 1 1/2 yrs and has taken only one class which was a couple months ago.

Happy to see Prado Enea being tasted had it at new year’s and loved it, classic tempranillo that has had a little time to age, ready for drinking but can still go for a bit. The first wine producer I visited was Muga 10 yrs ago so it holds a special place in my heart and I learned to appreciate wine on tempranillo and garnacha so, classic for me.

I have a question for Gary if he’s reading, its been itching at me for a while, why is it that you look so pissed of in the NFL draft video from 3 yrs ago when the Jets pick Sanchez?

    Pick up line:
    -Is your dad a thief?
    -No
-Then how did he manage to get the stars from the sky and put them in your eyes?

What is it with the obsession with just being in the top 10 comments???
Watch the episode and leave a decent comment, no?

Why is it only the old Vayniacs that can pick the wines you try Gary?

some people just don’t get it. ^

It’s just fun sniffysix (top 10). I think you’re taking this too seriously 🙂

As far as the old Vaniacs getting to pick the wines, the answer is simple. WE’RE OLD AND MIGHT DIE SOON 😉

    QOTD: “I’m Gary Vaynerchuck”

  • @garyvee Episode #111 is the first time you say your name Vay-ner-chuk. Before that you say Vayner-chuk.

  • However A.J. says it Vay-ner-chuk in episode #110, so you’re not the originator Gary. Haha!

    I guess so….whatever

Sorry for the negativity earlier about the first people to leave comments, just in a bad mood today, been crushed since the Eagles lost last weekend but was getting better until I got bad news today.

  • Good show. Always fun to see a guest that understands what an honor it is to be on WLTV.

Too bad none of the wines killed it.

No prediction for the Jets game because the only game that matters this week is taking place in the Windy City. It would be SOOOOO HUGE if the Hawks could do it again.

Great. Enamore on WLTV. I sell this wine in my shop but only manage to get small parcells. It never makes it to the shelf because I can always pre sell it to regular customers. Made like an Amarone, infact it is a joint project from Allegrini and Renacer.
Great wine at a great price!
QOTD. Hello I’m Mott…… you know…….Mott…… of the internet……. you know WLTV……. What?…… Yeh I’ll link you Up!

  • Fun, fun show though surprised those three youngsters didn’t come over and and pour a glass of the red on you for bashing their beloved Bills. I have a question for you. Do you think there are any “good” teams in the NFL besides your beloved Jets?

QOTD: I have no clue. In my experience, the only thing that mattered was a bank account, not a “line.”

    Cheers!

  • KAHUNA

Mott, Do you know about hamburgers? I recently discovered them

  • Love to see someone representing Olean, NY and the Buffalo Bills!!! Only wish he mentioned the St. Bonaventure Bonnies! BTW Third Base really does have fantastic wings, only place better is Randy’s up the river.

QOTD:Babym I’m no Fred Flintstone, but I can make your Bed Rock!

  • Yes, lighten up. Being in the Top 10 of anything is an accomplishment in my eyes. Plus, I’m sure everyone will also leave comments.

And to answer your other question, I’m one of the original Vayniacs and have asked for particular wines many, many times and not once has Gary done so. Luck of the draw I guess.

  • Randall

    castello… cr5 is down. LisaS is down…
    YYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEHHAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :O)

  • Gary has answered the question many times about his reaction to the Sanchez draft on WLTV. Don’t know the exact episode but it’s there.

  • Randall

That’s because you don’t like dry, dusty, pruned-out Old World sheepbutt-in-a-barnyard type wines…

    :D!!

Gary’s obituary: Gary Vaynerchuk, wine nerd extradinaire, was bludgeoned to death by rage ladened Buffalo Bills fans after dissing the team on nationally distributed podcast. The bludgeoners, when asked by local media, showed zero signs of remorse as they waited for local law enforcement officials to arrest them. They plan a defense based on justifiable homocide. “He talked about us as if we were nothing, man. What else could I have done?”
Mr Vaynerchuk will be buried in the No. 85 New York Jets jersey wearing his Jets spit bucket on his unrecognizable head.

QOTD: Your underwear would be a perfect match for my sheets.

Feeling your age today, huh Gary? Soon you’ll be moving to the ‘burbs and telling the kids to get off the lawn

QOTD — too out of practice to remember ’em

  • After watching the Mike Malanga ep, I wondered if we’d ever hear from the mysterious guy on the phone…Ian: keep on working towards the certification for sure!

QOTD: Corny…I’ve heard a bunch. Love the derivative one. I’ll drop 2 for now:

“If you were a booger, I’d pick you first.”
“If your left leg is Christmas, and your right leg is New Year’s, can I come up between the holidays?”

And then she turns and walks away….

  • Interesting. Considering Episode #867 was pretty….hmmm.

Had my first Gewurz yesterday (Thanks Randall for the nudge). Funny thing, I put it in the fridge overnight and I can’t believe I’m saying this but I think it was so much better at room temperature. Totally lost it’s warm spicy apple component.

Ok, enough of the little boys. When are we gonna see some Lady Vaniacs on the show????
    I nominate Randinthecity!

  • Must have been the Gold Digger Cologne you were wearing. 😉

Good show, but I have no story.

    Good show.
Qotd; Had any good wine, LATELY?

  • Randall

    TOO FUNNY!!!

  • Cubatobaco (Ray)

Great job, Ian! And congrats on your Sommelier course. I wish you the best!

Gary, my mom still, to this day, references Scott Norwood, on every missed field goal she sees. I did feel bad for him. Didn’t he go to the Jets the following year and get cut?

QOTD: I’ll get back to this one….

Ian (and his crew) were great guests!
QOTD: That was a long, long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away… Either that or I’ve blocked them all from my memory. 😉

Once again, vintage facts get lost in the hurry to taste the wine. The 2001 vintage was one of the greatest years (for most of Spain) in recent history – and Bodegas Muga’s flagship bottling is their ‘Aro’ cuvee.
GVs wife should probably remove the shoelaces & belts from his closet – after last loss I thought he was gonna drown himself in cheap cava. I just hope its a decent game, not a blowout (but then, that’s how the Pats roll, ain’it?).
