  • 905ish. Been watching well before I could drink wine.

QOTD: 971 gv (although I may have fallen asleep halway through some of them).

I want some of that first Barbera d?Alba you reviewed tonight. Since you loved it, it is sold out of course. Let’s kick ass and take names and get some more in the store!

i started watching about 9 months ago, and decided to start from the top.. probably got about 500 down

  • 25-30 and loved everyone so far.

  • Probably the 100 most recent episodes and just started watching from the beginning on your off days pretty recently, so around 125 total. Hope to get through every episode by the end of 2011.

  • QOTD : I would say around 400

  • Anonymous

971 episodes. Started live at around 450, then went back into the archives and watched the rest. Then, my head exploded!

  • QOTD: 900+

Barbera is a great value, drink em.

qotd; all of them and some more than once!

QOTD: I guess around 600 (some I have seen again and again), but this was not my favorite at all. A bit too messy. Too many mistakes- they were corrected but still. U have done better. When that is said, Barbera is my absolute favorite grape in all of Italy. It might even me my nr. 2 favorite grape next after pinot noir.

QOTD: I’ve seen the last 400 on its day; went back and watched most of the earlier ones. Thanks, Gary. First timer!

  • NJ Big Chris

About 400? I started watching your show in fall 2009. Ive watched MOST episodes since then. I also went back and watched the first 150 episodes or so when i first started watching so I could get a feel where this was all coming from.

    Let’s count…….. 971!

Dude is that $24 barbera the Italian that’s gonna go for $15 on the first???

Great thunder and I am going to work tomorrow to pick up a bottle of “high end” barbera d’alba, maybe the vietti! Wish I carried the cigliuti!

  • I’d say in the 200+ range. Maybe more. I think some of my favorite episodes are sommelier interviews. Like the episode with Rajat Parr. But generally speaking, the show is hugely entertaining, very educational, and overall i just really like it.

    Started live around ep 650

  • DaveAll

  • qotd: 751

Great episode. I get excited about Barbera D’alba. I treat is as the Italian Cotes du Rhone, in that it’s my favorite value play from its respective country. I’ve had great luck with them.

    QOTD: I’m guessing 500.

QOTD: Gut feel on this has to be around 831…given that during the summer of 2007 I was juggling 3 part time jobs and one full time job for about 4 months and then I took 20 credit hours in college while juggling a part time job and a full time job the semester after that…

Love the show Gary! I’ve been watching for about a month, and have been going through the past episodes. I have watched about fifty shows so far.

  • Anonymous

I think I have seen every episode since about #150.

  • Anonymous

Hey, nice job on Barbera d’Alba, I’ve had the 2007 Vietti Perbacco nebbiolo and that’s very nice, worth a try. As for Barbera D’Alba, the Pio Cesare is top notch for 20$, the labble is terrible the the wine is awesome.

Seen about 150 shows in the last 2 months, started doing the earlier apisodes in order today as I hab been watching them by subject, depending on what I was wondering that day.

All I know is that soon I’ll have watched almost all of the and I’ll have trouble watching the last few because I won’t want it to end. Just like when you start watching a tv show a few seasons in and you can’t wait to catch up to the current episodes but when you actually do, you’re sad you have to wait for the next one.

  • John__J

Qotd: About 905 and I’ve commented on all of them (although I noticed a few of my early ones fell into some sort of void when you guys switched over to disqus.) I know my guess is very very close to being totally correct as i’m trying to be totally caught up (and have a comment to go with it) on every one i haven’t seen by the time you hit 1000.

  • NY Pete

my QOTD … how much good wine have you wasted since Feb. 21 2006?

  • This is the easiest QOTD ever. I’ve watched every single WLTV since #1. If you figure each WLTV is about 25 min on average…I’ve spent 16 1/2 days of my life watching this show.

  • Anonymous

QOTD – I would say 200 to 220 full episodes and over 300 chunks just looking stuff up from past episodes. I got started in fall of ’08, got the Election pack and and have been watching ever since.

  • Cubatobaco (Ray)

Damn, Gary was in a zone today! I was digging the focus. Good change of pace. Especially with a varietal I’m not too educated on. Keep it up. This week has been solid!

QOTD: Not enough…lol. Nah, I’d say around 100-125. I’m looking forward to seeing 1000. No more Sir Gary. Way too serious…lol.

  • Anonymous

QOTD: Probably 400. Finally a wine show and now a sports (Jets) show.

  • Randall

On Sunday Jan. 30th in Palo Alto there is a meeting (read: lots of good vino, etc) for us GV fans…

  • Anonymous

About 200 now…Trying to catch up!

  • Anonymous

That guy is better than I am with my hands.

  • Anonymous

QOTD: 971, I started watching after you had done only several episodes.
There are times I can’t watch for a week or two and then I have to sit down
    and have a WLTV telethon.
