Gary Vaynerchuk has finally made it to episode 1,000 of Wine Library TV! It’s been an amazing ride since that day in February 2006, with great guests, amazing (and sometimes awful) wines, as well as a lot of Jets talk. Today, the main focus is a huge thank you to all the Vayniacs who helped make this community…and a huge announcement from Gary.

    Thanks Dom. I loved Verizon when I lived in Boston. I hear that you can use the AT&T iphone in Europe to make calls, get data but you can’t do it with Verizon’s iphone due to the CDMA network. Since I rarely go to Europe it’s not a big deal. Maybe I need to go to Europe more often?..yes, that’s the answer. 🙂

    PS…I forgot to mention that after the Chicago mtg, I went shopping on Michigan Ave. (what else is a girl supposed to do??) and after a couple of large purchases, my two (and only) credit cards were declined. I couldn’t find number to call visa and mastercard on my stupid phone, anyway, when I finally got through, my bank and United Mileage plus visa said it was due to fraud protection. “We just wanted to make sure it was you” and…”didn’t you get the email we sent you?” I said, “No, because I have a stupid phone.” You’re right, TP.. I need an iPhone. 🙂

  • Denmark, not Sweden, I was in Denmark and searching for bargains at discout wine shops. Found zilch! Sweden have a state monopoly and never ever discount prices. But I have not found a bad wine yet in those shops, except for BiBs, brr…

  • After a jog and a cold shower I will then try Friday’s taste-along wine. I’m guessing it will be better than the Oveja but will be fun to find out.

    I “may” focus one of them toward the “intellectual society” (wine, music, books, travel) and the other one to my “dark side” (cold showers, watching HOUSE, 9-1/2 Weeks)

  • Friday’s Spanish wine blows away the Oveja according to my palate. Quite nice. I may have had one too many glasses of it last night since I have a headache this morning. 😉

    Poor baby. Advil and caffeine may help. Glad to hear it’s nice. I ordered a bottle last Friday from WL for this Friday’s taste along but it hasn’t arrived yet. Did you order from WL?

  • Believe it or not, I received my Vinturi aerator today! I need to find a way to thank Field & Associates. Very nice.

  • Can we do a Skype TTFest where we choose a wine and taste along and interact with each in “real time”? Or we can record a video our own video tasting/reviewing and post them on youtube?

    Something to that effect since meeting in person is next to impossible.

    2000, that is big and needs something special.

    Time to reload on some more Realm …. it really is outstanding and worth every point 😉

  • Hmmm For the the first couple of glasses this works quite well but since you need to hold the aerator over the glass, well, the functionality becomes a little “precarious” for me by glass number 3 or 4. That being said, by that time, who really cares? It did its job by making the wines so delish.

    Great packaging and has its own personal case. Well worth the price. A very nice addition to one’s wine toys.

    I’d give it 92 points. Very nice.
