EP 1000 Episode 1,000

Gary Vaynerchuk has finally made it to episode 1,000 of Wine Library TV! It’s been an amazing ride since that day in February 2006, with great guests, amazing (and sometimes awful) wines, as well as a lot of Jets talk. Today, the main focus is a huge thank you to all the Vayniacs who helped make this community…and a huge announcement from Gary.

    Gray, I knew that it would have to come to an end (or at least a major crossroads) sometime and 1,000 feels about right to me. I’ve been with you since the beginning and I’d just like to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything. This journey has ben incredible and you have introduced me to so much different wine and have inspired me to read more about wine, to taste new things all the time, and to explore and expand my palate.     a bit. I think the new show shifts towards a slightly different, more mainstream audience…..and there wasn’t any warning. I’m afraid G won’t develop the same kind of hard core following with the new audience he’s trying to gain.

    Still at the same winery (and still do most of the cellar work) but now my business card says assistant winemaker! So basically nothing has changed, just an imaginary title change. But a very real raise fortunately 😉

    THANK YOU GV ! I was fortunate enough to meet you twice in Paris and although I haven’t followed WLTV as closely the last few years as I have in the beginning (started watching at episode 80!!), I will join you on Daily Grape for sure !

    Thanks man. You scared me at first there lol but I like the concept of using this for big interviews and having a separate source for your day to day stuff. I’ve already signed up for daily grape and I look forward to seeing what you do with it. And it’ll be nice to have a daily show that way you aren’t depressed the whole week of vids after a jet’s loss. :p

    perhaps an accidental nut shot. To echo others that have posted, it does seem like a logical step; especially considering his love for everything new and technological. But as mattgman said, I dont think as many nerds (with too much time on our hands) will enjoy the new format as much. Hopefully I am wrong.
