Good show today. Glad Sara could find a way to stop by and have some fun. Its always interesting to see a new drinker taste different wines along with you and see their reactions. QOTD: Icicle Ridge Winery’s Asian Pear wine. So smooth and wonderful flavor to it.

QOTD: This will probably be double digits on the times i’ve submitted these two wines as answers for other WLTV episodes but I still love these wines!

Red: De Martino Maule Valley Chile 2006 single Vineyard Malbec. Not the fakey fake violets you can get on some malbecs, not too much residual sugar either, it’s £12 ($15-18?) it’s the QPR that makes it a wine I COULD drink regularly, although haven’t had it in 11 months (NYE!) too busy expanding my palette!

White: I love white burgs and dry/off-dry rieslings but just to be different i really like Suavia’s Soave. It looks like the whole Soave jug wines make the good producers’ wines a QPR steal, as with Chablis! Classic crisp italian white, pear and minerals.

    Love the show.

Watching all of the older episodes. Just a note, this may be the first time I really noticed Gary trying to push what his palette tasted for each wine onto a guest instead of letting them discuss what they tasted. For someone that always says palettes are different, I didn't think this was a very good way to taste wine with a guest.
