YES!!!!!!!!!My new all-time favorite episode of WLTV! Great episode, great topic, and the best ending ever. i wish you would say MOTT and the end every time. that cracks me up.
QOTD- My birthday is coming up, i just wanna shout out, or maybe ill stop by and hang out
  • Dessert Wine Nerd
QOTD: Keep doing what you do. I may own a few wine books, but even if they talk about the same grapes you do, video content adds a different style to it. Plus the fact that youre actually tasting wines instead of writing in a book "blah blah wines have blah blah flavors." Youre digging in and unearthing things for us. MORE!!!!!!! Plus roll with me in Seattle.

    QOTD: You can have a show on Temecula, ca wines. . . . . . . . . I am a few months behind, but I have been waiting patiently for over a year for it. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

tons of ideas ...what about LTV on TV that will be awesome and i bet that it will habe more hits than american idol and or....broadcasting your show in another languages (subtitles) because i know of thousands or millions of people a round the world are vaniacs, but they dont know it yet
  • Dan-o
I am a big fan of the Northern Rhone.
Can't say that I have had a Cornas, need to go there.
QOTD - Keep doing what you are doing AND - PLEASE SHIP TO MASS!
  • GR8 show Gary!
I love to explore and learn and you hit on something new for me. Thanks! In my opinion your best shows are the ones where you teach and taste new and obscure wines.
QOTD: I know you're reserving this more for the folks who bought in (and maybe more would've bought in if you done this), but it would've been cool to see you barrel taste the Vayniak cabs. Maybe not too late to taste the young wines if their not bottled yet. This doesn't even need to be a standalone show. Could be an aside that you do quickly a couple times between now and when the wine gets released so folks can hear your comments on how the wine matures. (kinda like what the winemakers have to do). It'll help teach folks on how a wine evolves early in it's life.
  • I'm late to the party...
THANK YOU! for the shoutout, really made my day!!

QOTD; Keep making great content, and maybe do some more tastings with guest's and the fans. (VaynerNation??)
  • wannaBconnoisseur
Great show! Never had a Cornas wine, can't wait to try. Keep bringing the education.

    Q-Keep on keepin' on!
  • PaVo
Man I was JUST around Cornas and I fell in love with their wines. If only I knew how much they go for back in the US I would have bought more!

QOTD: Keep doing interesting shows. Admittedly you're making me spend almost all of my paycheck on wines...but that's a GOOD thing...at least I keep telling myself that!

Also, if winelibrary has control over Corkd, allow a way to link up wines so that if three people enter a (just using today's episode as an example) 2003 Jean Luc Colombo Cornas Louvee and one enters the wine as 2003 Colombo Cornas another person says 2003 Jean Colombo Cornas Louvee and a third says 2003 Jean Luc Colombo Cornas Louvee there's a way to try and link those wines up so the ratings apply to all and it provides a clear picture of the wines. I know this is probably easier said than done given the great flexibility of the website...but MAN that'd be awesome as it's tough when you see two/three/four wines you know are the same and you're trying to put your rating/review to them.
  • Great show. I love when WLTV goes classic and old school on the wines.

WLTV already provides me with a steady stream of infotainment, but if it wanted to do more, it could find me a job in the biz in Chicago. Or get more traffic to my blog, linked above on my name.
  • pawncop
Good show, so many varieties to try, so little time.

QOTD - At this point in my wine education, you are doing precisely what I need, expanding my knowledge and peaking my interests, and I am not sure what I will need as my knowledge improves and experiences expand.

As far as the giveaways and other items are concerned, I do not really need such things, as I am a member of the Vayner-nation and it comes from my soul where it is most important.

Thank you as always for what you do. Keep doing it. Keep it simple, you are talking to me.
  • GV - Always seem to be catching up, but glad you keep past shows! Cornas - I'd not looked into this area, but will - therefore - QOTD: Introducing viewers to new things and renewing interest is forgotten things.
  • JayZee
Excellent show - you FINALLY got around to Cornas, which I have adored for years, although the prices have really gone up the last couple of years - crappy dollar!

QOTD: Keep bringing the THUNDER and educating the masses.
  • Jim in Atlanta
QOTD - Keep educating and entertaining us about wine. And visit Atlanta.
  • Ryan
GV in the future, please do not refer to 'The Ohio State University' as simply 'Ohio State University'. The full name should always be used.

Otherwise, a great show. Very enjoyable and informative.
  • Glenn
Gary, Damn, you think you were pumped about the Cornas, I was supercharged. Syrah is my grape and now I have to go find some.
QOTD: Bring WLTV and yourself to San Diego and sign my books.
  • LI Brad
    Hey Gary,

Just keep on keeping on. I actually had my first Quincey a few weeks ago. A wonderfully flavorful Sauvignon Blanc without the over-the-top New Zealand craziness.

I hope to see you at the NYC book signing...

    Brad
  • YoungDave
QOTD: WLTV can continue to give value episodes and episodes about obscure and undervalued wine regions of the world. Kudos.
  • SGoodwin
Sorry for checking in late but I'm getting caught up on episodes. QOTD re: Fixin. I had never even heard of the place until our WLTV tasting group get-together last week!

2003 Dominique Laurent Fixin 1er cru Les Hervelets

Totally blew me away! Keep up the good work GV.

WLTV is already bringing the thunder. I would love it to just keep going!!!
  • If the Conan viewing meetup is at the Bounce on the upper east side, I'm totally there... as long as high end beer drinkers are welcome.
  • James Marinello(bajayngo)
To steal one of your phrases, RADOOl show my man! I've been trying to explore all of the rhone and was recently turned on to Cornas by one of the vayniacs so this was awesome timing!!

QOTD : SHIP TO FRIGGIN WASHINGTON STATE!!!! Uuuhh...and keep on doin what yer doin, cuz yer doin good kid! haha
  • Abacus Finch
Thanks for doing Cornas! My very first "Whoa!" moment with wine was a '96 TL Cornas earlier this year. It really turned me on to all the reds from the northern Rhone, much to the chagrin of my bank account.
  • Nick R
host an event/tasting in DC! Live taping, perhaps sometime soon?
  • Harry
qotd: more depth in regions and grapes, i.e. single shows on one region at a time to try a bunch against each other instead of grab bags. Also, less diversions about the Jets - I like many here I'm sure, couldn't care less about them, so can we just move on?? The more you talk crazy about number 16. the more I like Tom Brady (Go Blue).
  • Jayhitek
QOTD: It can teach me the ways to take over the wine world!!
  • love for the vine
You owe us nothing Gary, such a great show you have always put your heart and soul into any and every project that you encounter and it shows. Im sorry I don’t post as much as I watch but Im trying to fix that, love love love the show so educational and entertaining. Keep up the great work!
  • Luis Felipe
QOTD: Yes, I'll see you at both events. Congratulations on all your success.
  • Luis Felipe
I gota say, this was a great show! Keep it up Gary!
  • Rob P
Keep bringing the thunder. I love the episodes with wines that I've never hears of...which is why this episode was great. I was just reading the wine list for a restaurant that I'm going to on vacation and found a Cornas. Can't wait to try it.

I felt like the show hit a rut (in passion...not content) shortly after ep 400 (i.e. the day GV didn't get 1000 comments), but I think the past 25 or 30 episodes have been back to the passion and excitement we saw in the past. That is what we love about the show. Thanks GV.
  • ted vaughn
The Northern Rhone rocks. A syrah that I'd suggest you try is made by Arns winery in St. Helena. Sandi Arns is a rock star when it comes to making Northern Rhone Syrah like Chapoutier might make it. Great Howell Mtn fruit. Check out the link - www.arnswinery.com

    Great show as usual..
  • Jon
Nice show, I love the education theme here.

QOTD: make wine fun!!! This is the best part of WLTV. Wine Spectator has a video podcast, and those people are much less enthusiastic. They throw out the same terms (balance, structure) but never explain them and I never really know what they think about a wine. WLTV is great because you're passionate and straight-forward when praising or panning a wine, so it's easier for me (as a wine newbie) to understand. Keep up the good work!
  • Achilleas in Cyprus
Lovely .. there I have to try.

QOTD1: Not gonna be there - 5500 miles away
    QOTD2: No
QOTD3: Come to Cyprus and do a WLTV show :-)

Keep on bringing the THUNDER and educating us.
  • Tom Purvenas
QOTD - I think that getting ideas from your presentations always helps. The more I see the more I learn and hope that it allows me to enjoy wine more. Two thing - maps? I really am not familiar with all of the locations that you refer to - maybe it is not important - but I am a visual learner.

Maybe someday the 40 bones plus will be in my range - but for right now thats not gonna happen.

I'll continue to support the efforts, but hey if you can make it down to Philly that would be kewl - just a train ride! --- GO Flyers! - I think that the Sixers are dead - too much talent on the Pistons.
  • bourdoh
QOTD: Hmmm, I wish i could taste along with you more often, maybe post up the wines you'll be tasting in advance... Other than that between the shows, the book, the free stuff, the free shipping offers, the special events, the VAYNIAC CAB...I dunno dude, I think you have us pretty well covered.
  • QOTD: Give me some ideas on what to drink chilled in AZ. I know you hate on drinking wine chilled but it gets HOT here. HOT HOT for like 6 months straight, can you help me out :)
  • yowens
Awesome show man. I had never heard of Cornas. QOTD: stuff like this. teach and introduce me to wines I know nothing about.
  • jpwardaia
Wine Library can show us ways to train our palette. I still smell wines and taste wines, but non of the flavors do the shout-out like they do to good ol' Gary V.
  • Dan NYC
Nice show GV, I plan on seeing you at bounce. I might just have to stay up all night since I have to get up at 5am. Keep the info coming. This show is like my cliff notes.
