What no intro?? Boy this was the most comments to date I think.. Have had the Togni at a wine tasting event I believe, good stuff, and did drink a bottle of the 2002 Aida, was great, drank it a year later than this episode. QOTD-that's a stupid question. http://www.winelx.com

    Hey Vayniacs, I’m in…………

Just kidding. Matt and Lawrence I can’t open a bottle yet, we are still at work on the West Coast.

  • Robert F

I wonder if he even knows it’s not working. Maybe he could send out a mass email or something

  • John

Great idea, you just underestimated the your own VaynerNation!

  • Well, I had a bottle of Dunn Howell Mountain 1985 Cab uncorked just for this occasion. 21 years this is still a huge wine. Nose of cedar, blackberries, some other dark fruit I can’t identify (probably Gary’s cassis), opened one of these 2 years ago and it hadn’t come together, it has now the tannis are finally calm alcohol at 14.6% but don’t feel it, Ths is a great wine! Worth the wait but I’m too old to buy any more of this.

  • Wine-o

At what point do you write it off?

  • Adrian

I’m getting paid either way….Wooo Hooo…I would love to be fly on the wall in Gary’s office right now…He is probably like Trump saying “You’re Fired” Ok time to open something good up…I’m thinking about Oliver Hill Pinot…96 RP rating…I’ll let you guys know…Good luck Gary and team…I’m sure the next posting will explain everything…

  • Phil B

Good initiative Matthew L… Spending the year in Spain, I was able to find a bottle or Ercavio REserva 2001 (Gary commented on the 2004 regular cuvée lately….)Assemblage is Tempranillo and Merlot (as opposed to Tempranillo only for the bottle GV had…)Opened it tonite… Good nose, blackcurrant, cherries…Good mouthfeel, silky and mature tannins but the finish falls a little short. 87 points, but well worth the 7 euros it cost me!

Well, if Gary wasn’t quite ready for vacation yet, he is now!!! Poor guy, probably tearing his hair out right now.

  • careyd

Finally got through just to the comments page. Wow, Gary, did you actually try this live without employing the services of an edge network provider like Cachefly, Speedera, Akamai, etc.?

  • Let’s see lots of wine comments but this stream needs Avodart

  • manual

No longer a lurker. Why? I’m appalled at the majority of these comments. Listen to yourselves. There should be an age requirement to log on. I’m with Lawrence and Mathew L. so I’m breaking into the office wine stash right now and popping something good. Gary, your awesome. What’s that? Can’t hear me yet? No worries. Still AWESOME!!!

  • Celia

    DO-OVER!!!

    🙂

Maybe Gary could do an abbreviated episode #170 to tell us how things are going on BEHIND the scene…

  • KAHUNA

I guess GV didn’t get my email telling him no way in hell could his servers handle the volume- but who wants to listen to an old beat up web guy anyway!

Tangoroa…surely you jest. I think we can be a bit hard on Gary. If the show is late, people complain. If Gary doesn’t tape a show for a day or two, people need seemingly are typing from a bed in ICU recovering for apoplexia. At the end of the day, I, like many others, miss the show when it’s not on; but, hey…it’s something Gary does for FREE and I am appreciate for what I get (when I get it).

  • Wil H

Episode #170 is not in my top 10.

  • Lb in KS

It’s gonna make for some great WSJ story on Monday though. surely not

  • GottaGoDrink

I’m heading home soon to decant tonight’s wine. Can’t decide between Brunello or Bordeaux. I’ll try later from the home PC. GV will be back, we just don’t know when.
