You keep bringin’ it Gary, great episode. I must let you know that the proper word is sought not seeked though….as in this wine should be sought out.

    GAAHHHHRRRRYYYYYYYY!
You dissed the ‘Cuse. I am so disappointed. I’m going to find another place to buy my wine!!! They got completely hosed by the selection committee.

  • GottaGoDrink

Gary- All great wines today. Don’t you love that?

QOTD- My wife’s intuition is scary good.

QOTD: I trust my intuition more than anyone else. Nothing pisses me off more then when I go against my intuition and I would have been right. I say follow your own intuition unless 1) it has proven not reliable in the past or 2) you lack intuition (obvi).

    Gary,
Okay, now that I have gotten over your diss of SU (I lived in Syracuse for 20 year before moving to NC) I have to say this was a great episode. Very intringuing wines. I also love the vanilla extract flavor, so the Neal Cab is a definite buy. The Syrah also sounded very interesting.

QOTD: My wife had the best intuition of anyone I have every met. She can tell what kind of person you are after a 5 minute conversation. Picked out a couple of people that had me fooled, and later found out they were less than honorable. Want to go up against her????

Hey, you have to admit, Syracuse got the shaft this year. They should have been in.

I wish I could afford the Neal because you sold me on it talking about you and your Grandfather! Great memories for you!

QOTD: I hope I don’t get slammed for this. Not that I always listen to it…but…my own gut.

anyone else notice these flash 9 videos are darker than the old quicktime versions? i know i can still get the qt video through the bottom link. it’d be great if it was brighter and maybe with the ability to resize the videos (at least 2x).

thanks for an episode on hot new wines. my favorite episodes are when you go out on a limb and throw your opinions hard.
question : had the 2004 Loring Rosella’s Vineyard. same grapes as the August West? different lots? etc.?

i’ll post this Q. on the forum as well.

Did I hear incorrectly the price of the Neal cab? You said $45 and it’s actually $28? Gotta get a couple of those.

QOTD: Who’s intuition do I trust the most? I trust only my own.

    Go Terps and Hoyas!

so happy to see you taste and like the Neal Cab. One of my favorites. In fact, I was just out to a group dinner in NYC last night with Mark Neal, his wife and Gove, the winemaker. Great, great people, making excellent, fairly priced wines wines. In fact Mark has not raised the price on his Cab in like 7 years!

I hope you start carrying their Zinfandel, its one of the best I’ve had.

QOTD: Mine and my fiances, I figure if we’re gonna spend the rest of our lives together I better trust her intuition. Are you also a part time psychologist?

P.S. I should have the tournament won by the sweet sixteen!

Lars – I am a Gopher fan as well. At least we rule the roost in Wrestling this year.

Intuition – MINE / Only mine – But I do love researching and trying new things

That’s right! Don’t go Grapplin’ with a Gopher! Big Ten Champs and soon to be NCAA champs (March 15-17)!

Someone already pointed this out, but Gary made a rare mistake on the price of the Neal; it’s about $28, not $45.

I was somewhat pleased to see the Pinot review from Rosella. I’ve got a PB I’ve been looking at from that area and was hoping to get a sense of what comes outta there. Not sure this really helped, but it gives me a little food for thought.

QOTD: I’m selfish, so above all, I trust my own intuition. If I find someone with better instincts, I’ll change that assessment, but so far, I’m it! 🙂
