    Was sad to hear the Clayhouse review. About a year ago I started really becoming passionate about wine and the Clayhouse 2003 Petite Sirah is the wine that started it all for me. I’ve not tried the 2005 Syrah though.

    I agree with your comment about nebbiolo grapes/wines. Another overlooked grape and wine that is underappreciated is dolcetto. Some of these are quite delicious.

    You can’t go wrong with the Clarendon as long as it’s pre 2001. Starting with the 2002 vintage the wine become over extracted, heavy, high in alc with reduced acidity. I buy all I can find that is pre 2001 and currently looking for the 2001 Romas at least 4 750s. Best picks if you can find them are as follows:
    2001 Blewitt Springs this is a must have. this is KILLER Stuff
