This is creepy. I fire up the laptop and then crack open a bottle of Samuel Smith’s Imperial Stout and think “Wouldn’t it be crazy if he did a beer episode?” And then you did. And then in the comments section it looks like I’m not the only one this happened to? Freaky Gar. Freaky. You’re like the riddler in that crappy batman movie that puts the mind control devices on everyone’s T.V.
BTW your next QOTD should be: “How many of you have seen an episode totally hammered? And of those people that have, how many episodes have you been totally hammered?”
BTw x2: Vote two for cigar episode. Gimme a maduro Padron 1964 anniversario or a Don Carlos Belicoso and I’m a happy man.
    Wine is also good.

Amazing episode, thanks so much! Not as big a fan of beer, but it definitely helps to know some I may like to try when a bottle of wine doesn’t fit the mood as well (tailgate, reunion with friends, BBQing, etc.) so thanks for the ideas.

QOTD: I’ll assume you wanted a request for the next beer episode. A craft beer value episode, “great beers for great food at a great price.”

Oh, and I wanna agree with the requests for a cigar episode. Earlier in the summer my dad and I sat out on the dock and had cigars and a couple beers and I remember thinking “Hmm, Gary should bring on someone to help educate us cigar-newbs about what we might enjoy the most.”

Awesome show, guys!!! I love eating beer, and I do mean “eating” beer. I’ve had 3 of the 4 you’ve tried including the rauchbier, which I plan to marinate steaks with very soon. The Rogue line along with Ommegang are some of my favorites. Cheers!

I absolutely LOVE beer. Liquor is an art whether it be wine, beer, etc. Lately my friend and I have been trying awesome beers from everywhere. My favorite brewer is Sam Adams and I’d love to see the triple bock on here. But there are some awesome beers out there. Just recently I had the Belgian beer Hoegaarden. Try it, its GREAT!!!! Then try it with a slice of yellow lemon in it. Go, do it. Also, I will definitely try to find that last one in the video.

Awesome show! If you can get it in you definitely need to try Stone Brewery 11th anniversary … also know as Black IPA. It tastes like their Ruination IPA mixed together with a nice stout or Imperial stout. Great hop smell and taste with the added bonus of the nice sweet chocolate flavor profiles of a great american stout. Goes down entirely too smooth!

Kick ass show! You could be changing the beer world now! I am really excited you picked out the Rauchbier, and I want to give a shout out to my boys in Bamberg Germany. Awesome beer and one of my favorites. Germans drive from all over to have that beer on tap in Bamberg, so you know itΓ’??s the real deal. Please, please do more beer shows. Hell if you need someone to do them for you on the side, let me know.

Fun show. I’m not a beer drinker, but I like to try other people’s beer.

I’ve never been much of a beer drinker but that was a great show! Kind of interested in some of that pumpkin beer, may be worth a look to see if I can find some.

I love the beer episode! A friend of mine and her husband brew beers and they got me turned back onto beers. I am a fan if the very hoppy IPAs and a good stout. Carl makes a fantastic stout that has very good coffee and chocolate flavors and he claims that he does not add that. I prefer wine but variety is good. πŸ™‚

First of all, Beer is the CKC’s home-field stadium. Don’t ever question our ability to step up to the plate on that stuff. But nice job on the show… It was fun to watch. Also, since we’re on the beer topic, yesterday this guy named Joe from SPUYTEN DUYVIL (one of the biggest Beer and Wine bars in Brooklyn) came into the tasting room yesterday. He was on his honeymoon and he was doing some wine tasting with his lovely new bride out here in the Santa Cruz Mountains. Anyhow, He was a very cool guy and I wanted to recommend his spot to the Vayner Nation.

I didn’t know you could say ‘nards’ on Nightline.

There’s Sasha, there’s Sideways, there’s Silver Oak vs. Twenty Rows (I think), there’s Chenin Blanc at NASCAR events.

I didn’t have a clue that was going to be on until I saw Liz’s comment. That was terrific.

Last great beer: Breckenridge Vanilla Porter.

Like the beer show. Magic Hat is a good beer – Blind Faith IPA. Also gotta like the Trout River Red ale. Vermont brings the thunder on the craft brews.

Gary, I haven’t even watched today’s episode (which I am looking forward too, because I love beer), but I just had to give you props for the Nightline spot. Great piece. Don’t let all the pub wear on you. You are doing a terrific thing here. Keep it up. You really are changing the wine world, whether you like it or not.
P.S. it was good to put a face to Sasha. Screw the critics, if they are so high and mighty, let them take hours out of their day 5 days a week to put together a kick a$$ show. Party on Wayne.
