I watched the first show New Years Eve 2007. I was looking for reviews of the Coppola Sofia Blanc de Blancs sparkling wine.

It has been true love since!

I love everything about the show. You, Mott, the Thundercats, sniffy sniff, and even the birds!

QOTD: the first time watching was about 09/2006 or something near by. I like to scroll back and watch older Eps too 😉

Saw a full page add in WS, and started watching…somewhere around episode 100-since then I’ve watched them all.

Nice epsiode GV, Yeah Califirnia Pinot is expensive… jeez. i have been drinking some pretty good wines out of oregon for 15-20 seems like there its pretty easy to pick a good one.

QOTD: I think around episode 350 or so. early november. but if had known about you earlier GV, I would have been with you from day one. I’m just glad i’m not a lurker anymore… hey lets call some out of hiding.

“LURKERS COME OUT”

I started watching WLTV during the summer of 2007. I live in CA, but I was dating a girl that lives in Manhattan. I work with wine and talked a lot about it with her. She mentioned an article she’d read about some “guy in New Jersey” in New York Magazine. She emailed me the article, I read it, and then clicked the link that took me to my first episode. I then shared the show with two of my closest friends who also work with wine. We are all, the three of us, now avid Vayniacs.

A few weeks after you appeared on Diggnation.

Episode 379. Just started learning about wines and ran into your website on a search. Saw the link to your wine blog on left hand side. The still picture was you with the hood of your sweatshirt up and I thought that the show could be interesting. I was correct. Watched every episode since, and many of the archived episodes. Keep’n it real on the internets.

Good show. May be I got you wrong, but Sideways is just a movie. And a pretty decent one too. It is NOT an extension of Parker, WS etc as you said. I bet Alexander Payne never intended to affect the wine market. I’m not a fan of Sideways or Pinot.

I started watching wine library tv about a two months ago. I discovered the program by accident while doing research on video blogging.

I’m not that big of a wine fan but I love the way Gary does show.
Very entertaining and informative too.

But I’ve been a lurker up untill November but since come out from behind the computer screen and now and I’m proud to say….I’m a full fledged Vayniac.

Now I can’t stop. I have my own wine tastings like you do on the show. In my house. In the afternoon. Because I’m retired and that’s how I roll. I’m even contemplating cheese’s at this point….but my cholesterol is high so… 🙁

I even have the Big Ass Glass..!!!!

I started watching in November 07. I was cruising iTunes podcasts and came across WLTV and decided to give it a sniffy sniff. I honestly didn’t know what to make of you. At first I thought you were too hyper for my cup of tea but it was like a car crash I couldn’t look away. After about the first four shows it was your passion and “realness” and I was hooked and signed up for the Christmas pack. I have since gone back and have seen every episode and I am now a WLTV addict.

QOTD Started watching around the one hundred and teens. Not sure the exact episode now, but have not missed one since!

There was a huge thread on a wine makers bulletin board over at Robert Parkers site about color and it’s importance to the wine maker. Most of the old timers and traditional new guys do not try to boost color through cold soaking or other means just for colors sake.

A great maker Sam Tannahill from Oregon had this to say:
“I believe that the quantity or density of color does not really matter in Pinot Noir. It is more the quality that matters. That being said I have had delicious bottles of Pinot Noir that have been as dark as night from trustworthy producers that spoke of place in volumes much greater than light thin Pinot Noir from crappy producers that over cropped and harvested early.”
