OMG! Just had the 04 Delas Herimtage Bessard last night, I have to say that it’s the most balanced and well made wine I’ve ever tasted. The balance is crazy and combined with a ton of subtle lovely nuances it makes it almost worth the price tag ($110 is still quite above my normal range).

    Wow. I am now officially jonesing for some Hermitage. I’ve never had it but I really like the Shiraz/Viognier blends. Wonder if I’ll ever be able to find any in this neck of the woods . . .
    QOTD: Well, the Super Bowl hardly ever turns out to be a good football game, does it? I’m not a Giants fan but I would dearly love to see the Pat’s get their just desserts. Probably won’t happen though. I think it’ll be the Patriots in a rout.
