  • Get THIS! On Friday night before the shin-dig, my wife told me that if she knew you were having the get together, she would have told me to go! WTF? I didn’t even bring it up because driving from Wisconsin would have been ludacris… or so I thought.

Anyway, as for tonight’s episode;… GV, you are DEAD ON as far as people liking things in “phases”. I just hosted a tasting party where we had six Syrah/Shiraz. It was GREAT but I find myself wanting a new challenge. Hee hee!

    Keep up the GREAT work!

  • I was in bordeaux during 2004 harvest. It was windy, chilly, and rainy. At that moment I realized that great wine (perhaps not bordeux quality?) but great wine nonetheless can be grown in North Carolina and Virginia. Bordeaux is not california where it is always sunny and not rainy during the gowing season. Bordeaux has some of the same weather characteristics of the east coast. That is why it is imperative for east coast vineyards to plant in the right soil with the right varieties – and maybe they can improve on a already DYNAMICALLY IMPROVED wine scene. Word Gary, great show!

  • GREAT SHOW! Your ramble at the beginning was totally informative…

QOTD. My town has a serious lack of local butchers. Meanwhile there are tons of family-run, sustainable farm stands…I know this seems random but combining the things that are already in my community with the addition of a high-quality butcher at a great fresh, local market would be Huge!

QOTD: The biggest opportunity I have right now is to go to college. I plan on going to WSU, my father isn’t too thrilled since he went to the rival school. He keeps trying to convince me not to go, but I think it would be the best for me to go, money is the second issue though…
