I like seeing new stuff (to me) like this. This is “strong” for a party, I may use one for July 4th!

    QOTD: 1 million

    DC is out!

definitely gonna rock one of these. gotta try it out. too new and ridiculous for me not to. plus, for a party, it seems to be, as the kids say, “the move.”
    qotd: 100,000?

qotd – no idea, but i like the keg concept. also, good job with all the spitting…

great show. Like you said GV, THIS guy IS changing the wine world. thanks for bringing this to the group. I could see my Dad going for a keg ‘o the red, but he’d rather have the 2 buck chuck Shiraz version for $30 bucks. Make mine a good old vine Zin and you’ve got a customer.

    Kegs! Italy – 150K

Didn’t look it up. I thought the screw cap was a shocking development! Man this is totally nuts. Belly wash wine for 10 bones shows you the cost of doing the Keg though. It is an expensive investment to buy those things and you aren’t going to wait 30 years for your payback!

The 12.99 for the bottles is a red herring if I ever saw it. They don’t want to sell bottles. I wish Gary had tasted the bottle wine too.

Gotta think outside the bottle – different formats, that’s the future of wine. Cool stuff.

    My QOTD would be…
are serious wine producers seriously going to go this route?
Obviously that has been the case with the screw caps. We’ll see.
Thanks for pushing the envelope yet again.

This sounds like a great idea for a restaurant.

New opening logo. I like the graphic, but the shrinking effect is a bit odd. Keep the logo, but start with the whole logo on screen.

QOTD: Don’t know, but I’d say A LOT judging by the amount of draft Presseco on sale in Hong Kong.

  • Hey Gary,

I always enjoy your shows and I am generally a lurker, but none the less, I think the shows are great. I wanted to invite you to Lexington Kentucky next week for the Kentucky Wine and Vine festival. It is the largest annual festival in Kentucky, and my company is also one of the corporate sponsors. You have many fans and I am certain you would be warmly welcomed. If you are interested, I will gladly send all the information for the three day event.

I think that restaurants should jump all over this keg technology if they are intent to continue serving wine by the glass. For an average consumer, this is an investment for more than just one person.

Attention CKC’s: get your roomates to pool some money together and hit this.

I can’t seem to justify in my mind any wine collector or consumer buying this just for the sake of having it in their collection.

Amazing that restaurants haven’t picked this up especially by the glass…makes sense….good show! Not sure if I would ever use one outside of a party.

QOTD: No idea….it’s obviously new concept for wine…200,000 — 400,000.

    QOTD: 0?

Very neat technology, I’m curious to see where this goes in terms of allowing restaurants to serve up fresher product.

This is a very cool thing… I have friends opening up a restaurant next year, They would certainly be interested, especially if this is made available in the area. And as a wine consultant, I would certainly want my customers to have this too…
100% reusable… this is so great! Throw in some high quality, single vineyard stuff… and WOW!

    Sign me up!!

QoD… wine kegs in Italy. hmmm probably about a 500k per yr. I dunno… just guessing.

Great technology. Restaurants should jump on the bandwagon. I think Daryl’s Wine Bar in New Brunswick, NJ might be using this or something similar–not completely certain. Loved Sasha’s cameo appearance.

    QOTD: Wild guess –1 million.

Great show! Totally awesome–keep up the good thoughts that wine kegs will catch on in the U.S. And, environmentally friendly to boot! QOTD: A rough stab in the dark with no assistance from Google–one million kegs! (If you are going to guess randomly, make it out of this world, right?)

    Hi Sasha !!

Interesting concept ! Smaller keg with better quality would be a real attraction for me.

Also a way of dealing with less trash and helping our Planet Earth.
