Great concept for the show Gary. Loved it. This will give people a good idea of which restaurants to visit when they go on vacations, and also explore what people are drinking and offering without traveling all over the place. You always bring the thunder!

Love the episode – it seems like a practical extension of WLTV and a good way to mix things up once in awhile. Not sure how well it would work, but any chance looking at the wine list in conjunction with the menu – maybe some suggestions on pairings?

Actually ate ate Public when I visited NYC 2 years ago – loved it.

Nice camera work: call this The Blair Wine Project.
Nice idea and liked the change-of-pace. I would suggest for future installments of the “restaurant lists” series – to bring more value to the eps for Vayniacs outside of Manhattan – you taste 3-4 of the “by the glass” wines in each restaurant’s program, like you did earlier in your mini-tour of NYC wine bars.
Just scanning the list making comments and rating it 92 or 93 doesn’t do a ton for most viewers.

Fun idea, but come-on GV, pay for Mott to come along with the real camera. I know you left him back at the Lib to get real work done, but he needs to get out there with you too.
What makes this fun is the people you are going to meet out in the real world. Congrats for trying something new.

QOTD: I would probably have to say Torrontes is the hot white varietal this summer. I was just at a tasting at my local wine shop and they had a few Torrontes wines that were just killin’ it with everyone.

Hey GV, I’ve been away from computers for a couple weeks so I have a few episodes to catch up on. This was a cool idea; I can’t handle the quick movements with the hand cam though – made me kinda sick. Keep it real.

QOTD: This summer I’ve been enjoying Loire’s Muscadet and Rueda’s Verdejo.

Hey Gary, love the premise behind this show, but despite the fact that I blew up the video full-screen, I couldn’t really see the wine list at all. I hope in the future you will be able to get a scan of the wine list so we can open it and look at the list while you’re talking about it. With producer names, sometimes the spellings aren’t intuitive, and I do want to potentially be able to recognize these producers if I run across them at some other establishment, maybe in Chicago, for example.

Loved the epsisode although the jerkiness of the camera was a little annoying at times. It kinda reminded me of a wine themed Blair Witch. But definitely a cool idea.
