  • Dr T from N. Carolina

Sasha is only 55? He’s done a lot for just that length of time

Nope, never had an AZ wine. And yes, when I think of AZ, I think of desert and the Grand Canyon, cliche as that is

  • QOTD: No.
I think of Spring Training (the only time I’ve visited) and Camelback Mountain.

  • You da man! Thanks for the props on our anniversary.

Happy Birthday to Sasha and I will send him an email for sure.

QOTD: No, I have never tried an AZ wine but travel there often to visit friends. Love the place, the saguaro, the sun, a great place to play tennis which is my passion along with wine.

I am putting the 11th on my calendar. This should be fun.

    Cheers and thanks again,
    Dom

Happy Birthday, Sasha. Would love to see you and Gary do a tasting of some of your favorite wines.

QOTD: No. Intense heat, Grand Canyon, and the team that should be in St. Louis.

QOTD: Have never had an AZ wine, but spent a lot of time there. My in-laws lived in Scottsdale for a while and we spent our family vacations there. When I think of AZ, I think of Sedona, which we made a point of visiting every time out. Next time, I’ll be visiting a couple of wineries for sure.

Good show Gary. I’ve never had an Arizona wine, but it’s definitely on my list of things to try now.

QOTD: I’ve never had any Arizona wine before even though my Uncle lived there for about 5 years. The first thing I think of relating to Arizona is all the Great Native American influences.

I have never had an Arizona wine, but I would certainly like to. When I think of Arizona I think of the wildcats basketball. Always a good basketball team.

Thanks for finally doing the show Gary. Sorry if I e-mailed you and Matt 20 times to get it done. Being from AZ I’ve had a lot of the wines including the two you like the most today. I need to get Maynard’s wines next. Great show!!!

  • Saftig

I’m an Arizona girl, and I can’t believe it, I was in Sonoita (Sa-Noy-ta) last night and had some lovely wine with a big mesquite grilled steak. It really is beautiful here in wine country. I keep telling you to do the Thunder Show direct from the stunning THUNDER Mountains (Huachucas). Your Dad would love it too, Hummingbird Capital. It will change your world, I promise. Be my guest.
Thanks for always staying fresh and exposing us to new stuff. Spaciba.

QOTD: I’ve never had an Arizona wine, but I do have an affinity for the southwest. I was born in El Paso and lived there for 20+ years. There is nothing like a desert sunset and one of the best ones I have ever witnessed was in Arizona.

QOTD: The closest I’ve gotten to an Arizona wine was Gruet from New Mexico, so the answer is no–never had one. I think of Arizona as a vacation type of state–I also think of Dry HEAT!!!!! Aside from landing at the airport in Phoenix, I’ve never had the pleasure of visiting the state and would love to see the Grand Canyon.

  • QOTD: I’ve never had an Arizona wine, but when I think of AZ, it reminds me of John McCain, retirement and heat.

Gary, I sent your dad a happy birthday email. He’s in good company, we just celebrated my grandfather’s 88th birthday last week and in two weeks we get to celebrate my mother’s birthday as well!

Love the show Gary, I like when you go big with a 4 wine show. I hope to see you at Wine Library on Oct11!

  • QOTD: I’ve never had wine from Arizona, but I hope to one day. I don’t know how correct this is (I’ve never been), but Arizona conjures up images of the desert and heat. I know that’s sort of stereotypical. Sorry to anyone who lives there.
