Thanks for show and congrats…..I respect how long you took to make the Big A…

QOTD: Good question of the day..as kids dont come with manuals…that would be great though. The best advice I can give would be…
    1)Follow your instincts
    2) Get a Doula for labor support.
    3) Stay off the internet if your child is sick, not feeling well or you are just “unsure” of anything.
4)Let your child be your star but don’t put them on stage. They will be perfectly imperfect and uniquely them.
5)EDUCATION EDUCATION EDUCATION our world needs these babies.

  • CONGRATULATIONS MR. soon-to-be-dad

My pieces of advise (being a dad of 3 kids) :

Take time for your kids… play with them – talk with them – ask for their advise – at 4-5 years they are already pretty clever.

And be aware that you in future will have to share the wines you drink with your kids.
My son of 2 always wants to taste whatever I’m having (white, red, portwine, beer)

    – and my daughter of 5 has a huge favorite – German RIESLING (dry and sweet)

    All the best
    Per from Denmark

CONGRATULATIONS!!! That’s a huge deal. My girlfriend and I sometimes feel like taking the plunge, but I figure it would be a good idea to get at least one graduate degree and start a business before delving into that territory. You’re a braver man than I, but maybe I’ll grow some balls before the time arrives.

QOTD: I may not be a parent, but having been the recipient of various efforts at child-rearing (and having helped to raise a couple of brothers), I feel qualified to offer advice that I hope will prove helpful: Rather than trying to overtly shape your child, concentrate instead on what you can learn from him or her. Paradoxically, you may find that this inspires a sense of wonder and curiosity in the child that enables the little miracle to learn more easily than if you tried to teach more directly. In a way it seems ludicrous for parents, with all of the “rules” and habits they’ve learned over their lifetimes, to try to impose their own limitations on their children (who are comparably limitless). I typically think that children are wiser than their parents, though in different ways of course. The trick for the parents is to recognize in their children some of the wisdom they have themselves lost over the years. It’s not necessarily important to find it, but to be looking for it. Please pardon me for being preachy. In all honesty, I think you will be a fantastic father. It’s just that I am commonly discouraged at the sight of parents who unwittingly undermine the dynamic spirits of their children (and I think it is easy to fall into that trap when your life is transformed so suddenly). I wish you and Lizzie the very best.

On a side note, I will be leaving Nevada and moving to a state that accepts shipping from WineLibrary after my next semester is completed. I can hardly wait.

    All the best,
    Will

I believe that congratulations are in order – ?????????? ???! I wish you the best in this endeavor; not that you need it – I can’t imagine you being anything less than a spectacular father.

QOTD: Despite being secluded to the CKC, I would say that the best thing you could do for you kids is to be supportive in their exploits. Help them to do whatever brings THUNDER to their world – if only everyone did what made them happy for a living, and didn’t try to make a living to be happy.
