I love Bierzo wines! A favorite of mine is Palacio de Canedo – Maceración. I also enjoy Cuatro Pasos as mentioned below! As a Spanish teacher just sharing a pronunciation point: Bierzo is pronounced “Bee air so” (or “Bee air tho” with Castillian accent).

    QOTD: its all about the simplicity…tomato and basil.

    good show with new stuff. always cool too when they are good.
    anyhow, QOTD-pizza, my 3 year old likes olives, mushrooms and artichokes, so i put them on with some mozzarella. when it is all finished i am a fan of oregano and hot peppers. he says when he is a big boy he is going to put the peppers on too. he also tells me that when he is big, he is going to have a glass of wine. this makes me feel good since i dropped a lot of dough on wines from o5!
    have a good weekend
    BTW – excited about the label contest. i thought that the ESPN type label that you have up was it. what is up with something “stately” ? getting to work on this ASAP

    Interesting show – definitely going to try and find some wines from Bierzo as I’ve recently got into some from Priorat and I’m expanding my Spanish tastes.

    QOTD – I love the classic combination of tomato, buffalo mozzarella and basil.. but also the weirder combination of ham and pineapple.

    QOTD: homemade sauce w/ plenty of garlic, 3 or 4 Italian cheese blend, vegetarian sausage (crumbled), marinated artichoke hearts (chopped), and Spanish olives (chopped). The kids call it “Famous Pizza.” Most others would call it weird, but we love it!

    Hey Gary, good show, nice and to the point which is appreciated now and again. I am definitely going to try and find some Bierza in my area.

    QOTD: A very tough call as I love pizza, but I using standard topings I would probably go, garlic, tomato, broccoli, and artichoke
