So interesting…Ovid Vineyard actually sent a mailer announcing their “experiment” wine. Photo was included in mailer of glass test tubes as if wine is being created in their Lab. (Which in this case…it is..and they are proud of their man-made creation. Just some info…)

Super duper!

This is by far one of best episodes. I believe in Mr. Joly’s philosophy: “Nature is the best wine maker”. I do not believe this is a trend. Trying to obtain dominion over nature has only brought humanity to the brink of its own annihilation. We are nature, not above or beyond it. Only when we understand this will we succeed as a species, and of course, as wine makers.

This guy was amazing! Kudos Gary for getting on the show a man who obviously cares about his wines and our earth. The more I meet Europeans the more I think we Americans really are unsophisticated overweight barbarians who wear swhite neakers. They have been growing grapes at his vineyard since 1130? That span of time is astonishing!

Perhaps the finest show ever. Nicolas so elegantly described his love of wine as an art, a passionate embrace of nature. Its not surprising that both you and he tapped into similar principles of how wine should be raised, made and enjoyed. Glad to enjoy the moment with you.
