line of the day – ‘this wine is very one-dimensional, and that dimension is water…and danger’

I find myself enjoying Gary’s asides, winks, frowns and general facial expressions almost more than the content these days. He was asking a lot of the Mottster to identify differences between the same wines opened at different times, and Mott duly appeared all at sea…poor Mott. Also a funny slapstick ending. Classic

      Great show today, Gary.
I’m hoping my first Rueda experience doesn’t cause me to dump the whole bottle out (classic!).
I will definitely look for that last wine too.

      QOTD:

Been hard to watch lately ’cause the fam. sched (wife’s FT college sched., daughter’s Bball, etc.) has stretched me thin. Busting as much as I can so eventually be my own boss. I am into my family (Wonderful wife and 2 kids) and my job (Science teacher). I never thought I would say this but I am into/exploring the Missouri wines. Some are very good and some are crap. Also whites muscadet. Fun show thanks.

Coming home at night in California and watching your show is such a great way to end the day and segue into the evening’s wine experience. Can’t wait for the wine club selection to arrive… please don’t spoil the suspense by saying what’s in there before it’s reached the West coast!

I’m into figuring out how to build a wood-fired pizza oven in the garden so that I can have friends over at 3 every Sunday to make pizza, share a bottle or two. You are always welcome to join!

    • Love your show! Because of you my husband and I took a trip down to Fredericksburgh VA, about 1.5 hours from DC to get over $150 of wine! LOVED IT!

My Scene: 28, married, just finished grad school and doing what I love! Im a great problem solver and my life’s work is all about helping people. I am a therapist by day seeing primarily children and I have a blog, Girls Just Wanna Have Funds where I teach women how to take charge of their finances. I also have a Meetup with 400+ women and we meet monthly to discuss personal finance issues as it relates to us. I love what I do so I feel lucky and blessed 🙂

    • QOTD – I’m still new to the whole wine scene, been drinking it for a while, but never knew what I was drinking. Other than that – huge Yankees fan, full time blogger on a million different projects and learning more every day about as much as I can.

    • Great show today Gary. Today’s show along with last Wednesday and Thursday are the good old WLTV that I remember. Looking forward to more shows like this.

QOTD: Getting into some interesting board games. I’m really liking a game called Carcassonne. You should try it if you ever need a break from Monopoly.

    • Hey Gary. Haven’t watched the show for a bit, but try to still follow along. As with the other medical resident guy, I have to spend waaayyyy too much time at the hospital and the little time left I spend with my friends outside of the hospital. My current wine scene: trying as many local wineries as I can, and the fun part is then sharing the new finds with my friends and girlfriend. Current life scene: hospitals and clinics, with movies on the weekends…..I’m so happy that winter is almost over.

GV: Oh and I have the hookup to get you on the Notre Dame football field this fall and maybe the local Sunday sports TV show.

    • “Water and danger.” I absolutely LOVE it – (there’s a song in that…) I am still laughing. “Bad. Bad, bad, bad.”

QOTD – Top three: Stealing slices of people’s souls, one thousand words at a time (yes, photography), cooking (risotto king), architecture (zipping around to shoot Frank Lloyd Wright stuff).

    • Good stuph, Gary. Fun as always.

QOTD: Work, and sleep… but been getting out doors lately. Was out canoing and got great pics of a Bald Eagle NOT in captivity: http://tinyurl.com/dgvg24 (pretty bad?)

Ger-ra-hiz-ate show GV, I don’t watch as much as I did in the past. Truth be told, the wine role in your life is equal to the role of college in mine. Everyday of the week. It is actually our of control.
