Love Gary in this episode; he rolled with the negative feedback of the ‘College humor’ episode beautifully. As he says, you have to try different things, some will work, some won’t. Glad to see that he isn’t going to dwell on it at all. Back to his incisive, funny, super ‘on point’ self. Picking the ‘Suxx’ wine a masterstroke.

    I like the inpromtu sort of thing. I travel for biz as well, so I feel the hotel room wine thing. How about a Ribera del Duero show? Do like 6 wines all different values blind, that’d not Suxx!

  • Good show. I can’t vouch for the first two but I know that I’ve seen Suxx for less than $20.

    I just had my first verdejo this weekend and really enjoyed it. I got excited when you were describing this one from Molly Dooker until I rewound and heard the price point.

    Anyway, glad yesterday’s show is behind everyone. I like how you handeled it during this episode. Moving forward…

    I first became a fan of your show after your intial College Humor episode. Jake and Amir forgot that thier sketch is not know far outside of the College Humor community.

    CommentOTD: I enjoy your show and learning about wine. Im holding it down for the young Vaniacs in MD. You may be interested in Boordy Vineyards (MD’s largest winery). Decent wine at a good price.

    Side note: I wrote a webreview for this required class at my college, it went over well, thanks for the inspiration.

    Today’s show was a breath of fresh air. Just you and the wine… it makes me feel good inside.

    When you were talking about fruit bombs, it got me thinking about extreme flavor profiles. I am fairly new to wine, and I always like it when a wine doesn’t make me think too hard.

    How’s about a show where you taste wines with one overpowering flavor? Like BUTTER or TOBACCO.

    Whaddaya Say?

  • Good Show. Love the Chewbacca. I’m not afraid of chewing my wines. I actually tend to like it. I’m still yet to try a Molly Dooker, but damn would I like to. They’re just a little out of my price range at the moment.

    p.s. the news on the TV in the background was distracting. Keep up the good work.
