Great show GaryV and WayneG. I think it was great that Wayne was able to take pride in his wines. He may not like some as much as others, heh, but it’s good that he appreciates his product, and doing it for the right reasons. I am looking to be able to sample some of these wines, and you got me intrigued about the cab!
*side note* very hard to hear, i agree with the mic problems needing to be fixed

I have so much love for this ep, that I had to pop the comment cherry.

The Canadian connection in general is usually enough, but you’ve got #99 (the G.O.A.T.) and a shout out for Steve Nash. There’s an inside glimpse to the Gretzky home, a big win for Niagara wines… it’s just too much.

I’ve been watching for a while, and won’t stop any time soon. This episode was awesome, and in case Wayne’s reading this… you are the man. Good luck with the wines and I’ll keep an eye peeled at the LCBO.

It will probably get me banned from WLTV 😉 but I don’t like or watch sports. As such sports stars hold no special place for me so Mr Gretzky is just a rich guy who got into wine. What makes this episode so cool is that he obviously took this very seriously and put together a great team and product. Bravo Mr Gretzky. If these get US distribution I will have to try and get the Riesling (the Cab is out of my price range).

Wow! Just had to call over my 15 year old goalie son to hear The Great One wax lyrical on the importance of goalies to the team…no surprise, Marlowe was as interested in the wine as the comments!(Me too! Let me at that Cab!) Thrilled to know Wayne is involved in wines for such a purposeful cause- maybe he’ll have to work up his own hockey wine vocab…slap-shot zing, locker room mustiness, sweaty glove acidity, hint of Gretsky! Love that Gretsky is still a gentleman. May his legend live on! Thanks Gary!

Despite the fact that, oh those many years ago, the Great One and his Edmonton Oilers used to destroy my Vancouver Canucks, I still respect Wayne immensely. Absolutely great show!

Gretz buzzed and a with a belly, makes me feel good about myself :).
