You are right about Columbia Valley fruit being under rated. The Lewis Vineyard is one of my all time favorites along with Champoux and Dubrul.

I am incredibly jealous.

I begged my fiancee for us to go on the Thunder Cruise, and she told me because it was her first year of law school and the week before finals were to begin, that she couldn’t take off that kind of time.

Long story short, she has since realized law school isn’t for her, and ended up taking off four of the five days of classes she would’ve been to. I have reminded her since how mad I am that we didn’t get to go. 🙁

But, on the brighter side we went to Napa Valley with the money we didn’t spend on the cruise. I think the cruise would’ve been cheaper though. Next year!

What may seem like a simple thing, to me is not. I’m truly honored and proud that I got to tape two episodes of WLTV. Gary does this with such dedication, love and integrity, that I can’t help it but to feel humbled and thrilled to be a tiny little part of it. I also feel blessed to have been able to fit into Chris Mott’s shoes for this. The cruise was legit! From the first minute to the last, it was fun and valuable in every way. Not a single minute of boredom. The bottle of Domaine de la Presidente, I picked up in Miami (Total Wines and More). One of the guys that work there pointed me towards it, and since I love Rhone wines, I thought that it could be a solid buy. I tasted it after Gary did, and sure enough, the wine was pretty hollow in the mid-palate, even somewhat flabby, and not coordinated at all. Not that the wine was damaged or mishandled; it was in perfect condition.

Dude, I wanted so bad to go, BUT: no US Visa.

The cruise was insane. The Grand Tasting was unlike anything I have ever seen or been to. Hanging out with GV late night sharing a couple bottles of Italian wine, talking biz and sports was great!

Gary is a wonderful host and we met some amazing people!

Oh and taking a photo with GV, wearing my Dolphins jersey was priceless! Go Phins baby!

Booop Franco Here! I’m so glad to see this episode, it was the first time I had been at a live taping and it was AWESOME! When people ask me how the Cruise was I always respond that it was one of the top 5 greatest moments of my life! I had so much fun each and every day, even with two hurt feet. I meet a lot of people and made new friends. I drank a lot of wine each and every day. I got to spend a whole week with Gary. I wish the Thunder Cruise would have never ended. Thank you so much to Gary, Matt, Bobby, and all the rest of the Thunder Cruise staff for making our trip the best ever!!!

We enjoy Wine TV, but you have to start doing a little video compression 300mb is just too much to download all of the time.
