line of the day – ‘Big blackberry flavours exploding on my nose like a grenade’

Barnstorming episode featuring GV at his best. When he goes on about the nuances of different vintages his knowldege is scary. The visible wince when trying the last wine is classic Gary, and sticking the wooden box on his chair as an Oak Monster substitute made me laugh. A classic.

Classic episode for #700; CONGRATS!. The oak monster’s appearance didn’t scare me at all! I actually enjoyed your over the top reaction-perfect for #700.

QOTD: My favorite was probably my first! Not sure which # it was- About a year ago, I was searching for a particular Pinot Noir and came across the Thundershow. Wow! I was blown away by your enthusiasm. I watched no less than 20 shows that night and many more the following weeks to try to catch-up. After drinking almost exclusively Cabernet and a few other reds, I’ve been re-exploring and expanding my palate. So thanks from one of your newer Vayniacs!

QOTD: Definitely the episode about training your palate. In close second was the ‘SAKE’ episode.

  • I must be getting old – Number 700 rocketed right up on the faves list, because you DIDN’T go for a gimmick or a whacky play. A big milestone, a solid (you thought) trio of reds, a nice backstory on each – some useful information and entertaining commentary made it an instant classic. Also, I was watching old downloads on the iPod so I couldn’t comment, but the sake guy could easily be your evil twin. Another one of the best episodes ever …

Aargh! – the airplane ep and the minibar plonk were riots too…

Then there’s father’s day – oof, another great interaction between Gary and guest (if you can call him a guest) that’s three faves in one month: your show is resonating with me more and more I guess(!) – Thanks and santé! – to another 700 shows (or at least 300)…

Gary. . . CONGRATS on 700! Thank you, thank you for all your efforts in these shows!

QOTD: Episode 506. . . you struggled with Grange and were kind enough to give a shout out to my daughter Grace and my wife Jen for their birthdays. Thanks again.

    Well GV,

My favorite episodes of WLTV have always been the ones in which Sasha Vaynerchuk makes an appearance. But the most memorable to me (and I know this because I remember the episode number and don’t have to go look it up) is episode 403 featuring Pipes. Definitely a classic, definitely no other episode like it.

    Thank you for everything, I can’t wait for 800, 900, and 1000.

Well done! Wishing you every success in your personal and professional life, you’re a hard working man who has his priorities just right. Favorite episode? Anything with an appearance by sweet Sasha.

  • Riddler

Congratulations on 700, Gary!! Many happy returns!!

So many favorites, but one that stands out for me is your two-part interview with Daniel Schuster (684 & 685). In terms of pure, unbridled Gary VEE, the episode you did outside in the snow was fantastic. And I love any episode where Sasha makes an appearance.

    Keep up the good work!

1989 Napa was hyped by Spectator??? I thought that was the year of the early rains that was universally panned!?!?

QOTD: Eaaaaaaaaaasy one. But only because you mentioned my name in episode #428. It is all about me after all. 🙂

  • Car0lyn

Gary – HUGE congratulations on Episode 700!!! I started watching the Thunder Show this spring and have been a big fan and watched every show since then (including many back episodes).

QOTD: I would have to pick Episode 148 because not only was it hilarious but taught me how to train my palette. Closely followed by the episode with Jim Kramer, which was actually the 1st episode I ever watched. My initial thoughts you, “who the HECK is this guy, he has so much energy its amazing!!!” Clearly you have been putting your energy and passion to great use and have been accomplishing great wonderful things!
