QOTD – I think Jorge Posada is under-rated.

So many varietals, so little time.

QOTD: I don’t think, I know, the LA Angels are underrated.

I love Guava fruit. Uniqieness on the taste and smell. That 2007 Villa sounds like it would be a great summer wine.

QOTD: Ohio Wines are underrated. I live in Northwest Ohio and have spent all summer driving around to any winery in the Ohio Wine Guide and have found some diamonds in the rough. For instance this little winery in Sandusky, Oh called Hermes Vineyards/ http://www.sandhillVineyard.com. They have created an awsome wine called Wildflower that has an aroma of Geraniums but has a palate of Plum, Cherry and Awsomeness. And to boot it’s only a 10$ bottle made from 100% Hermes Estate Ohio grown Fruit.

Enjoy every glass of wine as if it were your last.

Great show, glad you gave Gavi a bit of exposure. Sorry to hear about your knee, I have a bad knee all the time so I feel your pain… literally!

QOTD: Cups of tea are seriously underrated (you can tell I’m British!)

QOTD: Lagrein is dramatically under-rated

I think Verdicchio is under-rated especially on the Verdicchio di Matelica side, as opposed to the Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi.

If you’re going to try one i’d suggest the Verdicchio di Matelica by Bisci, who also makes an amazing red wine called Villa Castiglioni Rosso, an IGT made of a blend of Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon.

I had a Gavi at my favorite Italian rest…it was very good and citrusy! I love Chicken Picatta…something I think is underrated. wonderful.

QOTD: I agree, teachers are under rated.

Had a Gavi back when you did the first show about Gavi. Only one at my wine store and it was not bad, not great. I was surprised at a little bit of bubbly action and touch of sweetness.

Gavi: yet another “under-rated” Italian white (relative to the enormously over-rated Pinot grigio). Good show, could have gone a little more “geek” here, though.

Ricky “the Dragon” Steamboat is underrated. Great worker, could sell his ass off. Match of the year contender numerous times with Randy Savage and Ric Flair, but no one seems to hold him in very high regard anymore. Too bad, his arm drags brought SERIOUS thunder.

QOTD: US healthcare.

Dude, you blew it on the description of the noses of the wines. “Smells like white berries”? WTF? Of course no one knows what white berries smell like. That’s like saying, “This wine smells like the plot line from Sons of Anarchy.”
Makes no f’in sense. And the chemically, powdery, fakey fake smell of pre-mix Crystal Light makes me want to give rabies to infants.

I’ve been watching since episode one so I know you’ll be able to better articulate future wines’ characteristics in easier to understand terms but for today the score remains: wines 3:2, descriptions; fail.

First off, the Jets don’t have a big-time WR this year. I know you’re all about Jericho, but I don’t think he’s ready to be your #1.

QOTD: I think Justin Upton is underrated. You’re a fantasy baseball nut like I am…where is he on your 2010 draft board? He’s looking like a potential 14-15th pick for me. Sick player.

Very hard to hear over the echo. I listen at my desk during lunch, so I can’t turn it up too loud. Episodes away from the usual “studio” often have really bad sound issues.
