    Okay FIRST. I thought you reaction to the #2 wine was halarious but you did not give it your lowest score ever. That was in episode #652, Spartan Cellars with a 50. Remember you said you start with 50.

    SECOND. No one else has said it and I don’t think you ever would but I am surprised that you didn’t punch that guy in the face. I mean bro, it was all over your face. Very uncomfortable watching you bite your tongue over and over again. I thought this guy missed his opportunity to represent himself well. Never make enemies with the host. Sorry pizza guy.

    QOTD: Best pizza I’ve ever had is Satchel’s Pizza in Gainesville (http://www.satchelspizza.com/). I always get Spinach and Feta. mmmmm…..

  • This episode was a little awkward. You two just didn’t really seem to click. Also, a piece of pizza without the cheese is like a hug without the squeeze.

  • Dear C-Fiddy – please allow me to resolve your question about if no cheese is it Pizza- In Napoli there are 2 official pizzas served the Marinara(no cheese) and the Margarita with cheese- The Marinara pre-dates the Margarita

    Huh. Seemed like a nice enough guy, but that was an awkward episode…did he just not drink? Like, recovering or something? Or just not drink wine? Anyway, odd to get the huge chance of being on such an awesome show, and kinda act like a dick. I’m interested in that Shaya, looks like fun.

    QOTD: Toppings? everything usually, but my fave is New Mexico Green Chile.

    Although this was not my favorite episode, I would like to see you do more with food and wine pairings. There are many wines that are “food wines” and really taste better with food.

    I think it was yesterday’s episode in which you mentioned needing to improve your interviewing skills, and man you really trampled over this guy. I’m not quite sure what he was doing there anyway as pizza, or what makes it good or the WORST, wasn’t even discussed. Maybe you got turned off when you realized this guy wasn’t going to taste wine on your show. In any case, awkward episode for the viewers.

    QOTD: Just had a pizza the other day with sweet and hot cherry peppers and sausage..pretty tasty

    I think the Verdejo was the star of the show, not the pizza although it’s a pairing episode. I enjoy dry wines as well with pizza, like Chilean Pinot Noir and Mexican Parras wines like Rivero González.
