WOW…. lets call a spade a spade. I am sorry you had to be there, other than chowing on pizza crust there was nothing good about this show.rough guest, below average wine reviews, and terrible information on pizza…. either way, love the Gary V and will keep watching but sorry you needed to waste your time

    QOTD. Basil

  • Christian G.E. Schiller

Very bad show. The guy was an idiot and boring and you presented dull wines. Pizza and wine–a good subject, but you missed the opportunity. What a waste of time.

belated QOTD: Niagara wines definetly under rated.

    See you there Gary?

We will have the Cheese-less pizza ready.

  • RaiderNation

What is this guy even doing on the show? I get it – he gets to plug his thing, but at times he just looked completely dazed and disinterested.

Gary, this show was hilarious. Your guest, and his personality, and the awkwardness made it very funny to watch. Thanks for tasting the Shaya, I will definately look for that wine.

  • In.Vino.Veritas

Sorry, Garry, but you broke your cherry. This is the first crappy show I have seen.

This episode was laugh-out-loud funny! i was rolling through half of it! The wines weren’t epic but they can’t always be. Gotta love the self proclaimed pizza expert, armed with only his ego and great conversation skills. This episode was the “Indian Jones and The Crystal Skull” of Wine Library TV, a little out there, a little off beat but i enjoyed every second of it! Until next time

    http://www.pizzaandcoffee.com/
everyone realizes i am one of the most attached to pizza and being from the area where it is from
i must say i want to say that the ONLY wine to have with pizza is Gragnano.
and i sell it too but i won’t mention it on your site because that would be cheap.
Gary call me and we’ll go to the BEST pizzeria outside Naples.

Man what’s up with the haters, GV??

I’m 10 minutes into the show and LOVING this episode! The guest is a perfect foil and unphased by your style. It makes for quite an entertaining show, especially when you are clearly having fun with the episode!

Somehow I doubt the next 11 minutes are going to change my thoughts. 🙂

He may not drink wine, but I don’t eat pizza (crazy, i know). But I went to his site to check it out and it’s quite decent.

Props to you both for making a funny episode. 🙂

My god, that was painful to watch. Gary, I think guests are only successful on your show when they have a solid background (Or at least a passing interest) in wine. That guy seemed so awkward, yet I agree with Vinny that he was hilarious, but his style did not sit well with this format.

I love hearing from interesting guests, and some of the best shows of WLTV have been ones with guests (Nicolas Joly, Daniel Schuster, Jancis Robinson, Randall Grahm etc) but when you go that far out of left field (To use an American sporting metaphor) the whole package becomes quite bizarre.

That might of been the worst show ever, but still better than watching my Mets play. The only saving grace was that he was a fish fan, and like it or not GV we are the defending champs in the East and our current/future QB situation looks pretty good as opposed to yours.

    QOTD: Bacon and Mushrooms

lol, carpet doesn’t match the drapes.

Talk about the Capri Suns, I totally still drink those all the time and yes, only 7 at a time will do.

Dude, what are you doing to your pizza??

QOTD: Anything except pineapple. There are only two things that I know I don’t like to eat, warm pineapple and cottage cheese.

An interesting episode. You did seem to lose the gist of the topic. It is fun to watch a true football fan get after it, which you did.

QOTD – Hamburger and jalapeno’s or sausage and jalapeno’s.

Cottonmouth: What I want – pizza and wine suggestions from a guy who sniffy sniffs but doesn’t whorl, and a guy who scrapes all the cheese off his slice.
Contrary Mary: But you gotta admit, it was hilarious.

I have to agree with some of the other comments, this guest was a dud. He seemed like a nice enough fellow, but why did we hear so much Dolphins talk and so little pizza talk? I don’t even really follow football, but I still can’t imagine someone actually liking the Dolphins.

It’s something of a coincidence that I tried the Hewitson Miss Harry at a wine tasting a few hours ago. Usually I find your recommendations right in line with my personal tastes, but I cannot fathom what you see, or rather taste, in this wine. It was yet another Australian disappointment to me, too extracted and too hot. I want to like an Australian wine, but they always leave me wondering why I bothered. Really, that Miss Harry was the Miami Dolphins of wine; admit it.

QOTD: Good Italian sausage is a universally excellent pizza topping.

Hey Gary, not one of my favorite episodes. How that goober made it on your show I’ll never know. He’s like the second wine you tried: I’ve already forgot about him.

Gary, just turned 21 a bit ago so I just started tasting and trying stuff to get my pallete going. I’ve been watching ever since you went on Fallon and it’s invariably entertaining podcast if nothing else.

Love the football talk, but I’ve been wondering whether the Jets would be better off “cellering” a Sanchez instead of uncorking the bottle and giving the public a taste too early(which I think they’re planning on). One thing’s for sure, expectations seem to be as high for Jets fans as they are for my Bears.

Keep the off-hand football coming and I’ll be sure to chime in more once the season starts!

Good show – you never know what you’ll get!

Especially liked the info on Verdejo and South African Chenin Blanc(I guess it sometimes is really is all about the nerdy stuff).

    Thanks!
