Big Fan! I just happened to be drinking Chenin Blanc (although from S. Africa) while watching this episode. Loved the episode and I’ve been digging this wine for the last few months. I definitely see this as a great sushi pairing (if it would only catch on). I have one general question, are there other names to look for when trying to find this varietal other than Chenin Blanc and Vouvray? Following up on your question of the episode…I grew up in D.C. and I’m a Redskins fan. It’s painful at times, but I’m hopeful almost every season, so I’m excited about this season (at this time). For the record, I’m bitter against my friends I grew up with in D.C. that are Cowboy fans. Can you relate??

QOTD: Really not a sports fan, not because there’s anything wrong with sports, it just doesn’t interest me. I like to play, but not watch. So fav teams would have to be the only ones that I’m exposed to more often, home teams: Twins (yea I know they’re sucking it up right now), Vikings, and the Wild.

I think I’ve had Vouvray maybe 1 – 5 times within the six years I’ve been drinking wine and going to wine tastings. I couldn’t even name one in the local liquor store.
