lines of the day – ‘you’re gonna buy the book anyway as I love you and you love me’ and ‘This is a Donkey Kong fire in your face ‘moment”

At the risk of sounding boring – what another great episode! Passion for days, a good guest and Mott trying to say the right thing…and failing…again. What more could anyone want?

I thought your guest was fab!!!! Loved the show, Mr. Perry was refreshingly candid, easy on the eyes and funny! You better snag this guy before some Hollywood hotshot does, and he becomes your competition!

Yea, Hoppin’ Frog does crush it w/ a couple of their brews. Others, meh. Sorry about Don & Sons’ wines. Ya know they had a great track record, historically, in delivering value oriented quality, but sometimes, I think they’re trying too hard to be more than they should be at a simple, dependable level. Then, it gets to be all about market share, and other insidious interests getting in the way, and they’re all over the map, so to speak.

I think your Crush It Program wants a theme. I suggest “The Crusher”, done by the Cramps! It does have a ridiculous, Big Time Wrestling theme to it(perfect match to your plastic men), and is as infectious as a viral video, i.e. “Do the Hammerlock, you turkeynecks!”, and “Do the Eye Gouge”.

God luck on the surgery! Your fear is well founded, but you’ll be shocked, amazed, and in the end, proud, of how small a deal it is , once it’s over.

  • Mott!!! Makes a rare appearance.
The man that keeps the thing running. GV is right, you should get some more time in front of the camera.
I was an altar boy too, coming from an Italian family. The altar wine may not have been too good, while the juice at family dinners was, but the two separate experiences did, at a very young age, impart a sense that wine is a special, even transcendent drink.

QOTD: Not doing just one thing, so some I love (living in the country, making wine, teaching aikido) some I need to (work in software development). I know , I know… I need to crush it.

Hey Gary, listen closely to what you said. You said that the 7th person to say “Jets in the comments” gets this wristband. OK, Jets in the comments. Does that qualify? Another great show. Really fun guest. QOTD-I am not doing what I love.

Can we make sure Brody Jenner never comes on WLTV again?

    EVER.

    What a douche.

GV – Best wishes. Hope you recover quickly (and well) and come back to us stronger than ever!

The very best for you with your surgery. Last year my wife had both her knees replaced and overall did very well with her recovery. I extend prayers from Texas that recovery is complete, rapid and successful.

Question of the Day – I love very much what I do. I work full time in a very busy pediatric ER and care for injured and ill children. It is sometimes very hard but I am doing what I was trained for.

On the law enforcement side, I recover a fair amount of stolen property and get it back to the rightful owner, and get to right a few wrongs along the way, put some bad guys in jail as much as I can.

I have the best seat on the greatest ride of life.

  • That guest was fantastic! Cool dude fo sho.

QOTD: 64% of the time, I’m doing t-shirts and being a family guy, which are the two things I love. 36% of the time, I am in the salt mines getting the bills paid. This ratio WILL improve as I TCB in the coming years.

  • Gary,

Akron, Ohio – once again getting the love on WLTV. I actually know Fred Karm, the brewer/owner at Hoppin Frog, very well and went to the brewery on the day of release for that beer.

QOTD: I am doing what I love in theory. Creating and selling solid value wine brands with niche marketing. I just can’t wait for the day when I can have an assistant to pass the BS Compliance and monotonous paperwork off to.

Qotd: Not quite yet, but I feel like the stuff I’m doing in college (Civil Engineering project type stuff) right now is pretty much my passion. So you could say I’m definitely on the road to doing what I love.

  • QOTD: Not exactly no, but my passion would leave me eating ramen for the rest of my life.

Gary: Good job on picking up the citrus hops through the cloud of smoked malt.

Gary great show. My six month old little girls name is Alex. The same as his girlfriends. Great name. I also liked to see you have someone on there who was not a wine expert, it def. made his comments so real. I need to try that beer since being from Canton I am only a 20 min drive from Akron. I will be doing what I am passionate about when my wine bar opens in Jan. Can’t wait!!! I will buy the 4 books but would rather get a couple names of some good distributors you have dealt with in the past. Adam (The Barrel Room)

QOTD: Yes, I do what I love, I am a self employed jewelry designer and have been able to support myself and family for the past 5 years. I hope to do this until my fingers fall off!

QOTD: Yeah – legal philosophy – and this year I get to study it at Oxford, which is kinda like the promised land for me!

Gary, just to let you know, your enthusiasm has rubbed off, and I’ve started cheering for the Jets. (No armband required)

Oh, and Mott, ignore that shit Gary talked about having no tonsils because he’s from a younger generation. I’m younger than he is and I got mine taken out.

    Nice mix-um-up show today Gary.
While I enjoyed the stout beer review, my tastes really can’t handle the dark thick beers, so I tend to go with baby beers instead.
QOTD- After 31 years in the banking industry, I burned out, and started a residential painting business some 15 years ago. I now contribute to making my hometown beautiful, staying active on the ladders, and relishing my wines, (and my wife), in the evening.
Best of luck with your surgery.
Most of all, when you wake up, it will be over.

Gary- best of luck with your surgery- I am a family doctor and although the business of medicine sucks, I still enjoy what I do, see patients of all ages. Have become a big fan of the website, was just at the store yesterday.

Some of the most ancient wines in Italy are white, this guy does not know what he is talking about.
