I live in Texas and Zin is always our go to pick for something to pair with ribs or any kind of BBQ really. Good to see your on board with the Zin and BBQ bandwagon.

Hey Gary, back to the good ol’ episode format, good for you. Great idea with the Friday taste along! I have been waiting for something like this, and I just passed the zen of zin in the store the other day.

P.S. I thought you would get a kick out of hearing the tale of this weekend. I recently turned 21 and went to a few wine tastings, I was with family and when they asked me what I thought I would describe the wine in a Vaynerchuk style, at first all the “wine people” thought it was weird, but after about 3 wines that I described all of them were agreeing with me! so I took the liberty to spread the thunder a bit. I chalk it up as a point for team Vayniac!

Love the new format. Some (even) cheaper wines (like the Zen of Zin) would be appreciated too for us college Vayniacs on limited budgets!

My Cork’d name is Violetruby. I remember signing up a couple years ago and my automatic first friend was a guy with crazy hair named Gary Vaynerchuk. I was like, who is this guy? I then found out you had a little video wine blog and I started watching your show regularly after that. I’ve learned tons since and have bought and tasted more wine than ever before and am loving it. Thanks Gary!

Your store collects sales taxes for NJ, but also for VA and NH? That usually means that you have businesses located in those states. Could you explain the circumstances?

QOTD: SargieAZ – just like here. No reviews on these wines, didn’t pick ’em up this time, but I love the concept of the taste along. And I think next week will do it. A couple suggestions:
1)Give us next week’s wine at the end of the show, asap
2)Don’t mention anything about critics scores until the end, and don’t score them yourself until the end.

I have Zen of Zin sitting on the counter untasted as of yet. Crazy busy weekend, beginning with an impressive wine tasting/dinner on Friday. Hope to replay the ep and taste along this evening if nothing intervenes – not on Corkd yet, but we will be.

Have not joined Corkd.
I have enjoyed many (cases) of past Palazzo (poor man’s amarone) vintages but not the 2006. Have always found it a strong 90 pointer.
