QOTD: Frogmore Creek 2006 Iced Riesling from Tasmania. BTW, Calera showed very well two nights ago at Wine & Spirits Top 100 in SF. I think the Mills pinot edged out the Reed, and if I remember it right, it’s the less expensive of the two. Thanks, Gary, for the tip back in the episode where you interviewed the owner/editor of W&S. My wife and I had a fantastic time!

Hi Gary, I really love your show! It is getting better and better. When are you coming to Germany? I am a student of International Wine Business in Geisenheim and I can imagine doing a show with you during one of our lectures on Wine Marketing! Great possibility to crack the German market for “eyeballs”, you know what I mean!
    Take care!

QOTD – Last night I had a Spanish Garnacha, which was quite good and inexpensive. I also plan to have a zinfandel from Tres Sabores. I met the owner at a wine tasting recently and very much enjoyed her wines.

QOTD. This weekend I will drink a La Cana, 2008, Albarinho.
I’m going top prepare pheasant and with that lovely bird I’m going to drink a Taurassi, 2001 – amazing wine – or a Chateau Lagrange, 2004, Saint Julien. I didn’t decide yet.

I will be tailgating at Paul Brown Stadium and want celebrate in “Who Dey” fashion, therefore I intend to purchase a varietal (red) that very few will be familiar with. Suggestions?
