Interesting show, I think Mott should have tasted the Foxglove also. I like hearing his take on the wines!

QOTD – I’m going to Ohio to see my aunt. She’s the only relative I have in the States. Oh wait, I almost forgot my sister recently moved to Texas, but that’s not really within a driving distance from upstate NY. I know my aunt and uncle aren’t folks hugely into wine although they do drink from time to time, so I’ll take along something easy to appreciate. Something like a local NY riesling, probably.

Given that I am already regarded as the effete liberal of the family, I doubt I’ll be pushing wine appreciation too much. But it’ll be warm – so that will be awesome. Wine appreciation will come at Christmas, when we hit my side of the family.

QOTD: Going on a Wine trip to celebrate a decade together. My wife and I are going to Napa/Sonoma for the rest of the month, starting tomorrow. We have Thanksgiving reservations for Madrona Manor – Healdsburg, Ca. One Michelin star and a great wine list,then back to Santa Rosa for a night of tasting the best wines of the trip. I can’t wait…… Gary, how ’bout a shout out???? 650-700 episodes, secret packs (until our fabulous legislators got involved), and the occasional coment should count for something…

red Burgundy for turkey day. These light reds go well with the bird
and really hold up to the earthy side dishes.
