line of the day (after guest catches knocked over glass) – ‘Tell me your athletic background. Well, I played for the Jets’

Solid show although the guest let herself down a bit with the QOTD which was all about her rather than wine or the Vayniacs. Admittedly she was caught off guard but even so…

  • Great show wine dude…
I was happy to watch her hold her own to mr. motermouth. She also kept her opinion about wine #2 from that place you pronounced incorrectly. You did a great job as usual and picked some great wines to taste.
I would like to see her go to Washington State which has become the second largest producer of wine in the U.S. (I think that is right) She would love the area and the consistent and outstanding wines of the area, especially the recently added Puget Sound appelation.

  • I really loved this episode… particularly because Samantha Brown was in it 🙂 Amusing episode 🙂

VG, do you know the second wine from the same winery that produces Tomero? Corte B from Carlos Pulente is Astonishing.

QOTD: Campervaning in the South Island of New Zealand. And you do have to make the show to be aired in Brazil.

That was a pretty good show, although, that Uruguay White blend sound a little out there. Samantha was awesome though, and she was definitely quick enough to keep up with Gary.

QOTD:Maybe Dubai or somewhere in the Middle east. Maybe she can head to Uruguay and find out where they came up with that blend….lol

  • Samantha, to answer your question… I’d love to see you in Boston (not so much Maine as you were before), but honestly, Boston and Central Massachusetts, and see where you prefer, so I can compare it to my life in North Central MA and see what I’ve been missing, and to make an effort to visit those places when I get a chance to go home.

I just wanted to say that WLTV has the nicest comments on the internet.
Sam, go to some small USA towns as a tourist.

I can’t wait to see Gary as Samantha’s guest on her new travel show, “Wine Around the World”. Of course she’ll be visiting the locations that the wine comes from instead of telling us about them.

    QOTD: Wine Regions
Although she’s drank a lot of different wine (and other alcohol) on her trips, I’d like to see a Samantha Brown show dedicated to different wine regions of the world. She can start in the Douro and work her way out from there. And like I mentioned, Gary can eventually be one of her guests.

QOTD: I would like to see her travel to india on a food and wine matching journey (the trick is matching all the food with indian wines). Do you think you would be up to the challenge Vaynerchuk?

  • Gary, great EP. I was thrilled to see Samantha Brown on your show, love watching her show on TT. I’d love to see her take on New Zealand if she hasn’t done that yet? She’ll get a great education on Sauvignon Blanc, sorry Samantha about the lawn mowing, that sucks.
Gary, loving reading your new book, and look forward to the next installment !! Crush it brutha ! ~ Max

  • QOTD: Come to Vancouver! (I think Gary said he may be coming for the Olympics awhile back.)
Good show. Never seen the guest before but she was very likeable.
You said the 2nd wine was from the Florida of Uruguay. Direction-wise (ie. SE) yes, but since Uruguay is south of the Equator, Washington/Oregon might be a better analogy.
Don’t think you rinsed before the red.
You said “first time all rated 89”, but you rated the 2nd one (Uruguay) 90.
Have a great weekend; thanks for the entertainment.

Wow, great show SB! Anyone who can keep pace with Gary, earns my respect and admiration, right out of the gate. That, and I’m a sucker for great hands! LOL! You just gained another “fan”.

QOTD#1: Gary is a great guy, who is changing far more than just the “wine world”.

QOTD#2: Sam, whoever said “you can’t go home again” was way wrong. How about a return to your roots show, that features travel throughout the New England states?! (do they still have live concerts at the shell in Hampton Beach? it’s been over 20 years since my last visit).

Wishing you both a Happy Thanksgiving. Thanks for a fun show, Mike

This is one of my favorite episodes of all time. Samantha is the best guest that you’ve ever had. She has great knowledge but also an amazing personality. It is great to have someone that is your equal in presentation and can back it up with good wine knowledge. I’m in love!

QOTD: I would like you to go to Canada and the Okanagan if you haven’t already been there. That would be a great summer trip and you would love it!

Great show. I’ve been a fan of Samantha Brown since she first started on the Travel Channel, and she was terrific here as always.

QOTD: Sam, I would love to see your take on Australia and New Zealand. Throw in some winery tours along with the sightseeing, that would be awesome.

Loved Sam Brown on the show. She was delightful. Wish Petit Verdot would have come out to be a winner… Oh well.
