  • He is a really good guest. I wish he was able to finish some of his statements though…:P

I like his transparency and he has sold me on his Gewurtz, that’s for sure.

Loved the show Gary, but I gotta agree with mjr. let your guests speak! It drives me a little crazy when you ask your guest a question and then start answering it yourself.

Great show thus far. Excited to see the rest, really left us hangin. Big questions are being dished out, and I’m into it, but not sure if I’m excited to see people come to the show to be put on blast. For what its worth.

The guest is awesome but Gary, STOP INTERRUPTING PEOPLE. It drives me nuts when you ask a good question but we don’t get to hear their answer because you talk over them.

Great guest & show, Gary. Jeff and the family Bundschu are really quite the pioneers. Five tidbits not mentioned worth noting:

Gun Bun Wine Patrol- For many years they spent a huge portion of their marketing budget on Wine Patrol. Each year they picked a city, invited 30, 40 or 50 of their closest friends (and best salespeople from around the US) and threw one heck of a party…with a lot of fun (and tequila) to be had by all. I am still recovering from Austin, TX a decade ago.

The wines- Extremely terroir driven wines that have a common taste of Rhinefarm running throughout the range of varietals. Where so much wine has been homogenized and lack personality, these wines have as much a “sense of place” as any in CA. Their Estate Zin is one of the best, underheralded in all CA..i think only available at winery any more.

The Winery- A great place to visit…especially in summer if they are still running incredible Shakespeare Fest on winery grounds.

The Rebel- Jeff was responsible for fgorming Wine Brats and Wine X… and a series of wine raves designed to pair wine tasting and dance music/clubbing.

The Pirate- Jeff was involved and behind the infamous heist of the Napa Valley Wine Train, and, OMG…..seved his Sonoma Wines!!!!

    Anyway..thx again for good show.

good start – waiting for the second half – hopefully you do better than your Jets!

Sorry to see your Jets loose it 🙁 ok – I’m not sorry at all
    GO PATS!
must have been heartbreaking since you said nothing about the game

I have a QOTD – I am wondering what does Mott look like? Has he made an appearance on any episodes? After hearing him talk a lot in this episode I was just starting to wonder (especially now that I can figure out what his age is.)

Good show. Jeff seems very down to earth and committed to producing a great product. Had a GB gewurtz last year and thought it was excellent.

Really great guest. Makes me want to try his wines. Love hearing about the process of winemaking from the people who are really passionate about it. Gonna have to agree with the others saying GV was stepping on his toes a little bit… but I don’t think it was egregious. Can’t wait for part 2!
