QOTD: went to the big wine tasting at the javits center last spring, was pretty awesome, not that i made it to all the wines (too much drinking not enough spitting!)

That..was…SWEET. rioja is the first wine I remember drinking, the wine that started it all…and so it has a special place in my heart. Cool to be behind the scenes, i love these “on location” shows, like you did the Bordeaux trip.

QOTD: I had “the in” at the Hospice du Rhone but couldn’t make it, so ummm, donno need to go to more events I guess!

Very much appreciate the “behind the scenes” episode. For those of us who may never have the chance to attend an event like that, it’s certainly interesting. Also appreciate the “to the Jets” toast. It was a welcomed counter to the obviously perfunctory “rioja” of the famous speaker.

QOTD: Chateau Grand Cru at Örebro castle in 2004. 15-20 wineagents with 5-10 different wines each and and lot of chocolate, chees and other vendors. It’s easy to get tipsy just walking in that environment 🙂

Felt really James Bond, like spying from in your coat pocket. I think this is a great idea and I wouldn’t mind seeing other stuff, if people will let you tape, like a wine buying session etc.
