QOTD: I’ve been to several large tasting events and a few on a smaller scale, but I enjoy uncrowded tasting rooms the best or having people over to try some wines. Sharing and drinking with friends is probably the best “event”.

QOTD: I just came back from the Toronto food and drink show a couple of weeks ago and did an Amarone tasting. It blew my socks off. I had a dessert Amarone, it was from classico and it was amazing, it was puckeringly dry but oh so sweet. All the raisins, dates and prunes for miles, but I can’t think of the name of the producer which is too bad.

Well put GV.. I think that this is a mini revolution.. One of allowing the masses to see the wonder of wine!! Thanks for letting us peek into the other side of the wine world, however, in classic style you make it your own!! Thanks for the sneak peak..

Very cool, does seem a bit “stuffy” though.

QOTD: Wine tasting at Peju in Napa. There was a really new age type guy doing the pouring, giving each wine personal characteristics. “This wine is not trying to be something it’s not, it’s happy with who he is, delicious, bright, a friend.” Ha!
