Gary man. I have got to try that Papillon.
Great show. I love Loire vin blanc when the flavor ballances the acid.

  • Awesome show Gary. It was absolutely phenomenal to be part of it and to be “The Mott” for an evening. By the way a message from the Mott: “when are you taking me to Paris?”
Can’t wait to have you on vinomaniac.tv! By the way, we’re launching in january!
    Good luck

  • Show missing the actual tribute to the women winemakers here. Part 1 only one mentioned by name. Tell the others to0. Especially if you praise the savennieres like that.

PARIS! This was a great episode, truly, and I can’t wait to see what the reds bring- MAN I love me some Savenniers too! It must be great to taste along with a crowd with a less US-ish palate…

  • Thanks again Gary!… what an experience… Phil and I had tons of fun and EVERYONE in attendance (all 70ish of them) loved it… i received endless positive feedback… i must say i was a little nervous during the first bottle… but i stand by my “minerality” comment! haha… although no doubt the citrus play dominated… i’m much much more of a writer than a “television” appearance dude… but from that point forward it wasn’t nothing but fun!…

cheers to the women vintners of france!!! 🙂

Great episode, very interesting wines. I wish I could get a glimpse of your audience. Just interested to see what kind of crowd you have there.

I’m working my way through the Loire. Had a few Vouvrays, some Sancerre, I guess it’s time for some Savennieres. Yet to try a Loire wine I don’t like. Check that, Muscadet is pretty lame.

  • Jacquelin

LOVED Clos Papillon 2005, even though after the Alsace I thought it would have been hidden, and no, still impressive, precise, and mineral.
It was one of my greatest tasting experience !! Loved it !!!

Very wordy professor. It might be more interesting to the viewers if you panned the audience when you ask your questions.

I think the guy on your left has got a pretty good palate. Maybe it was just the glasses influencing me.
