    That was a different way to end the show. I drink a lot of wine, but I have never even heard of Banyuls. I do like dessert wines so I will need to find one. Thanks for introducing us to this.

    Nice show. I like Banyuls and Maury. Hate to be a wiseaxx but Amarone is a Recioto. Ricotta is an Italian cheese.

    I think it's been a great week for WLTV, bringing out some lesser know wine-styles, and turning on the heat and bringing on the thunder. Keep it up! : )

    Saw Avatar last night. Not my cuppa tea, too much “eye-candy”. If you take out all the FX, then you're left with absolutely nothing. One word: Hollow. Bigger isn't better!

    Great to hear Mott bringing out the “right” analysis on one of the wines… Watch out Gary, he could be taking over the show ; )

    Qotd: Has any Vayniacs out there seen Oz and James' Big Wine Adventure? And what are your thoughts on both of them? Personally i think they are hillariously funny? Am I wrong?

    I have been drinking and loving Banyuls for over 25 years, mostly from Dr. Parcee's bottlings. No other wine approaches how well Banyuls goes with chocolate. I usually drink them with over 10-15 years of age. That may explain why I always get a hint of sherry in them, but it may be the vinification method used by Dr. Parcee. At any rate, I think the sherry hint makes it go even better with chocolate.

    QOTD: Snow? Its so beautiful! (before it gets all dirty, here in the city) I do prefer sunshine and warmth tho, for long term.

    Thank you for the education on Banyuls…I am DEFINITELY going to try this varietal.

    Can't say I have ever had a Banyuls, grenache is a great grape, love GSM's and southern rhone's use of the grape. I enjoy a ruby port or any Zin/Syrah based port also. Colts all the way. http://www.winelx.com “Jimmy The Super Fly Snuka” was fun to watch too

    I enjoy your show. I live across the road from a vineyard in CA where three wineries operate but I don't know alot about it. What do the initials AOC mean in this episode. I'm guessing it has do with something specific to French wine

    1. Papa Shango puts a curse on the Ultimate Warrior, causing black goo to drip down his face durring an interview with Mean Gene Okerlund.
    2. Jake the Snake Robberts tricks the Ultimate Warrior into letting him be his training partner, ending in Jake locking the Warrior in a room with poisonous snakes.
    3. The Undertaker locks the Ultimate Warrior in a casket.
    4. None of the afformentioned wrestlers comes close to the MeggaPowers.

    Therefore:
