I expected the worst when i found out that the guest was a commenter on the show…but it turned out that there was a great chemistry between him and GV so it worked pretty well.

Thanks Brian…….. you know what I like so I'll try those for sure. As I always tell everyone I meet who is into Pinot……You Are The Man~!!!!!!!! I just got that 3 pack from you. It's a shame I could only order one or I would have got 6. Let me know if yuo can set me up with those in another 3 pack and IU'll tase them…….or maybe 4 3 packs…… 🙂 And just for the record all Loring wine are Glen Juice…. just some are bigger than others but ALL LORING WINES RULE!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • John__J

It was a lot of fun seeing you on the show Glen, a great episode.

qotd: I've haven't had it yet but I have a bottle of the Elderton shiraz from Barossa 2005, that's supposed to fit that bill.

  • John__J

Wow Glen really did pull some lurkers out w this episode.

  • A friend recently raved about Beckmen and said it was a “must try”.. I had never heard of them before. Will seek it out.

  • The Lurk Monster

Why is the website so ridiculously slow now? It makes me want to just download everything on itunes….

  • Phil G

Glad to see some Vaniac love on WLTV…

QOTD – Don't go for too many bombs, though I do like them most times. I think Torbreck makes some big suckers at a few different price points, but I haven't had any in a year or two.

  • winecrazy

Thanks Phil….I'm the same way but I do like them and drink them often. I don;t like too many but the ones I do like……uh……they seem to dissapear quickly…lol

  • winecrazy

That's funny becasue I just got done reloading mine with over 7200 songs…lol Took a while…….

  • winecrazy

I know that was great that they left a lot of comments. I got 14 or maybe more but that's how many identified themselves…..I numbered them….lol

  • winecrazy

    Thanks John…!!!!!!

Loved the show, I'm on it since a while now as well and LOVE that I can watch it on the iPad now! Good thinking, Gary!
I'm German but I live in Paris since 10 years and still find it tragic that I can't order any of your site. Go international, WLTV!

  • Great call on the Prisoner…my favorite BOMB too.

  • I was away for the week and was going to give you The Prisoner too…what did you think of it?

  • Great show

QOTD – I have really been enjoying Robert Sinskey Vineyards Cabs lately (when I have been going Cab). The last was the Vandal Vineyard '05

    http://www.robertsinskey.com/Wines/Current#

As a side note, I like that they put how many barrels produced instead of cases, just a little something different

  • winecrazy

Thanks a lot Paul. Never herad of them. I will definately try that one.

  • winecrazy

    Thanks!!!!!

  • winecrazy

    Thanks Shirley!!!!

  • winecrazy

Thanks a lot Charles. I will have to pick those up. Never had those so I'm looking forward to it.

  • Rieslingrocks

Enjoyed this relaxed friendly show a lot.

    QOTD:
You need to get hold of Ben Glaetzer's wines from Australia, especially the AMON-RA, a nose-bleedingly expensive monolith, a totally over the top wine! Its cheaper cousin is GODOLPHIN a hedonistic shiraz/cab blend with great flavour impact. Enjoy.

  • winecrazy

Thanks a lot!!! I have 3 bottles of that and I'm going to drink an 04 soon

  • winecrazy

I like it….but if you want to give me one I'm always up for it….lol Have you had the Murcury Head from Orin Swift? That's a sick wine!!!!!

  • tarany

Well I have to say that this show inspired me a bit; you really have to appreciate the community that's arisen out of this show. i've been watching off and on for years, comment every once in a while, but am generally a lurker. watching this made me want to get more involved. thanks.

  • chukheadted

keep having real vayniacs on the show!!! great!

QOTD–try the zaca mesa santa ynez syrah 05/06. massive

  • Leslie

I really don't know all that much about wine myself….But I know Glen has a real passion for wine and it was nice to see him have the oppertunity to be on the show,… I learned a little too while watching…great show…

Thanks Tarany Lurker #16….!!!!!!!! Thank you for coming out this show and commenting. 🙂

  • winecrazy

Thanks for the comment Chuck!!! I'll try that wine for sure. I have been to Samta Ynez and I'm in a few clubs, Gainey Vineyards, Buttonwood, Kalyra I love those guys who bought that place from dawn under. The movie sideays revovated the whole place for them just to film there. The dog is so cool if you go you will see him there. He puts his paws up on the bar as if he's ordering a glass of wine….lol They have a painting of him doing it, and I have a picture I took of him doing that with the painting in the background. Love that place.

    Thanks again

  • winecrazy

Thanks Leslie!!!!!!! I guess you're new so thanks for commenting. I can tell you this. If you don't know that much about wine the key thing to remember is you need to enjoy wine. Like I enjoy cigars. I don't need to smoke them…..I just enjoy smoking them.

I can go 2-3-4 weeks with no cigars, or I can have 3 a day. But a cigarette smoker or a drinker needs to have a drink or a cigarette every day.

Just enjoy wine and don't let it become a bad habit. This way you will always enjoy it and it will always be something you look forward to doing….. 🙂 Salute!!!!!!

  • winecrazy

Thanks!!!! But I think you meant Mitolo GAM right???

I like the 2005 Mitolo GAM Shiraz Mclaren Vale South Australia

  • justinstewartiu

Awesome show. I love seeing a guest finally come on and bring out the big gun wines. Thanks Gary for giving him the opportunity to pull these expensive wines. It is great having real vayniaks on the show. These guests who are completely STUNNED at the end of the show by the “Surprise” when they have to ask the question of the day… this is getting old Gary. Its great to have someone on that is prepared and knows how WLTV works.

The biggest bombastic wine that I have ever had was a 2004 Merryvale Profile. It is from an unbelievable producer and the tasting room is definately one to stop by in Napa… beautiful cask room!!!

  • JayZee13

Wow! Great show. GV and “winecrazy”. Coolness. Nice job, Glen! I would have loved those wines. My palate keeps changing and for awhile I was tired of the wines that kicked my a$$, but I am starting to like the bombastic ones once again.

    QOTD: Glen, try these:
    Shafer “Relentless” http://winelibrary.com/reviewwine.asp?item=49389
    Anaparenna http://winelibrary.com/reviewwine.asp?item=49098
    Altamura Cab http://winelibrary.com/reviewwine.asp?item=51282

  • Nik_B

Solid show – the petite sirah sounds interesting.

Unfortunately I can't recommend many bombastic wines, as they aren't generally my style – but I did sample the El Nido 'Clio' which I thought was OTT, but excellent (though
I could probably only drink one glass).

  • winecrazy

    Thanks Nik!!!!!

  • winecrazy

Thanks a lot JayZee!!!!! I'll look into those.

  • winecrazy

Thanks Justin……I'll have to try one of those Merryvale's

  • winecrazy

WOW…… Homey….we got a Boat Load of comments on this show. Now that's Crazy!!!

And not to mention 15…yes….”15″ Lurkers came out and I numbered each one of them and I want to thank every single person for all the great comments and compliments and all the recommendations. I can't believe every single person liked the show. I'm actually spechless. And the Vayniacs are not shy about telling it how it is so again THANK YOU!!!!

Love & Respect to all and especially to my Homeboy Gary V!!! And of course the infamous Mottster for having me on this show.

The Vaynernation is one nation I am happy to be a part of. Salute to everyone!!!!!
