I expected the worst when i found out that the guest was a commenter on the show…but it turned out that there was a great chemistry between him and GV so it worked pretty well.

  • Petecs

Fun Show !! great big ripe wine ? Charles Krug 1999 cab

  • Finally had a chance to sit down and watch after my last final/celebration session. Awesome, awesome, awesome guest. Been reading Glen's comments for a while before I started posting. The genuineness of this episode makes it an all-time fave, for sure. Great wines, too…love me some Petite Sirah.

QOTD: Nothing new to share, since I will second the Dookers, Seghesio, and Four Vines mentioned earlier in the comments.

Hey Gary, I was busy last night and did not see the show until today. Glen was one of the best guests ever. How about more shows with us Vaniacs.

  • Jeff Riha

Nice show. I enjoy seeing guests every now and then. I think you do a fine job mixing up the topics, guests, etc., Gary.

QTD – 2003 Rosenblu Rockpile Zin, especially upon release. Although some of the Aussie shiraz's mentioned are also right up their – Dooker's, Henry's Drive, etc.

  • cellarrat5

There are many reasons Guitar is a great instrument and that is one of them. I am just starting to learn so the more I practice the better. Played piano for a while and the Guitar was a good switch. Keep jamming!

  • winecrazy

    Thanks Jeff…..gotta try that Zin

  • winecrazy

Thanks Craig….. WOW….One of the Best guests ever….!!! Hope Gary sees this…lol

  • Yes it is.

  • Allan

    Idiot part I

  • Allan

Idiot part II, probably written by the same jealous human being. These stupid commenters we do not need!

  • Allan

You had your work cut out this time winecrazy,,,, amazing job so far 🙂

And all those Lurkers,,,,, now that's amazing within 24h or so :0)

  • Allan

“Lurkers keep fallin' on my head
And just like the guy whose feet are too big for his bed
    Nothin' seems to fit
Those Lurkers are fallin' on my head, they keep fallin'………” : )

  • Allan

Another one…… Aalto PS Ribera del Duero, try that Glen, sure to knock your socks off clean.

Maybe Allegrini Amarone? Portugal; i really love somethin' called Quinta de Vallado Reserva, but it's not Biiiiiiig, it's only big, if you catch my drift?

Thnx for Rockin' out comments-vise…… 🙂

  • Allan

Thnx, will check out : )

  • bobbytiger

    Gary.
I'm glad that Glen apparently respects you, as you kept smacking him on the back.
Not too many people would allow that kind of action.
    Having said that;
I like the Luigi Bosca Reserva Melbec, (Argentina). It's a big wine, and for $16 bones delivers for me. Then again, I rarely go over $30 for any, (I say any), bottle of wine.
    Cheers.

  • winecrazy

Gary is my Amigo….that's how we roll…..lol Big Love & Respect for my man GV, and who doesn't love Sasha!!!!!

  • For the first time ever, I've taken the action of flagging content as inappropriate…Buzzard, ralph, hommer…whatever troll or spammer you are, I know a few gay guys, and women that would probably beat your ass to a pulp if you had the courage to say such things in person.
Keep your hating to yourself, that's probably where it's starting.

  • we live out in the sticks so it was a choice between internet and TV and since we were not watching much anyway, it was a fairly easy decision. It's amazing how much more time we have, for our own projects and with one another.
Keep jamming, creativity is much more rewarding than passivity.

  • Great show!

    QOTD: http://www.orinswift.com/wines/the_prisoner.php

I couldn't even drink a full glass of this thick, dark ,woodpile taffy-juice. Slurry.

  • castello

Good job BBoy. I flagged all of his crap twice but it's still here. Winecrazy call Gary for us. MOTT!

  • Allan

The insane asylum just called, they want you back…

    Delete button. Please.

These are the most immature comments i've ever seen on this site, and you're probably not even old enough to drink yet? 14? Go back to school.

  • Torbreck Shiraz usually goes down like jammy syrup, give it a go 😉

  • BradVinNH

Big juicy chewy monster wine. Hmmmm . . . sounds like Alban Reva Syrah. Alban's Seymour's vineyard syrah is great too, but a little tougher to find.

  • eliotfagley

Great job, Glen! That was a blast to watch.

Big jammy fruit-bombs, eh? Not generally my style, but for NYE, we drank Mollydooker Carnival of Love and Elderton Command. The Carnival was ridiculously unctuous, and the Command was like drinking oak sawdust soaked in blueberry juice. They both were nearly Port-like in their density.

Glen, any interest in the sweeter whites? Auslese rieslings, sweet chenins, that kind of stuff?

  • David

    Remove this Homer dude..

  • Craig Hamlet

Hey WineCrazy, take it from someone who has seen every single episode of Wine Library: you were one of the best guests ever. And here's why. Vaniacs are more genuine and sincere than 99% of other guests. We put our heart and soul into every show, good or bad. Many (not all) guests are self-serving. They have something to gain by being on the show. But Vaniacs do it for the love of wine and the love of WLTV. I think the only guest I enjoyed more than you was Heidi Barrett. That's one classy wine lady. Anyway, I just booked airfare from NC to NJ for July 10th. Hope to see you there.

  • Rhonda

Hommer… seriously…. get a life! You are annoying and apparently dealing have a multitude of issues… talk about wine or don't talk….. thank you.

  • Shamsky

    Hi Glen,

The most over the top wine that I have experienced was a zinfandel from Tulocay Winery in Napa. We drank that bottle around 5 years ago. The alcohol was either 15 or 17% and was the 1st bottle that we could not finish that night (My lady and I already had downed another red that night).

    Give one a try.

PS: When I ordered a case of various wines over the phone, the owner told me to send him a check after I received my shipment. How is that for trust in these crazy times.

    Peace,
    Shamsky

  • Good show! Gotta get some of this wine now!

  • As for big, juicy wines, Gary tried our Cult Vines ToKalon Cabernet a few weeks back and the deliciousness was too much for him! I needed you on that show Glenn! You would love our wine!

  • Maybe “Voyeur” since you like to sit back and watch all the good stuff.

  • divyamistry

Oh, what a fun show! Nice to see chill people chillin' next to GV.
QOTD: No idea. Never had a wine I'd call “bombastic”. Sorry.

  • Anonymous

I took my name from them cause their 2001 Merlot rocked my world. Three out of five bottles were cooked or corked. They sent me newer ones but the good ones were unbeatable. I have a dog in that race but I only get a few bottles every 3 or 4 months.
It’s very north Napa Valley, Callistoga address, and I think their vast fortune came from Satui Vineyards in the main part of Napa Valley where they have a ton of wine and cheese deli and tourist trap, but nice, picnic area.
The Castle is awesome but no rooms to rent. A few parties for us members but not much of a discount on the good wines.

  • shaneclayton

    PAX dude-

Great show! We want more Vayniacs on the show!!

  • ahillsey

Glen, me thinks you would enjoy any of the Booker and Linne Calodo wines from Paso. The T-Vine Zin is pretty huge too.

  • Pat__B

Larkmead Cab…..like getting hit in the face with a wooden bat full of dark fruit and tobacco.

  • Good job. I'm think'n maybe a once a month thing. Take the names of all the Vayniacs that comment into a hat, pull one and that will be your VGuest for the month. It may help draw out the lurkers.

QOTD: I have two for you. Domaine de la Maurelle Gigondas 2007 Around $20.00 Old world flair at affordable price.
Rosenblum Syrah Rominger $20.00. Very balanced and savory Cote Rotie style. Keeps you coming back for more.
