Loved the info on Protugal and the Dao. Again, a little too short for me; give us a little more info on the vino or Portugal in general.

QOTD: No question,Touriga National and Vintage port in general (Portugese women are a close second).

QOTD: The people and the language.

I somewhat prefer the 20 min episodes. Four times the thunder.

  • CORRECTION: Gary, Touriga Nacional is NOT Tempranillo. Tinta Roriz is Tempranillo!

If you are going to be bringing the education let’s keep it straight! 😉

QOTD. Being a Real Madrid fan I’d have to say Cristiano Ronaldo.

Qotd: Hmmmm. Port and they are making great reds, Niepoort makes some serious stuff, Quinta Do Noval’s Cedro Do Noval i enjoyed very much, Quinta Do Crasto’s “Crasto”, Quinta Do Vallado’s entry level red is GREAT, and their Reserva exploded in my mouth, YEHAW! Haven’t explored too many whites, but will look out for them in the future.

Great stuff G, keep the ball rollin’

  • I have to start by saying this wasn’t my favorite episode. All of the information seemed forced. I don’t know how else to explain it, but nothing but love, GV.

Even though this ep didn’t do it for me, it’s funny that you had this wine on there. I had the 08 version of this exact bottling solely because of this show. Everything about expanding your wine horizons, etc. I was in my favorite local wine shop and they had this, and I just remember thinking that I’d never heard of Encruzado before… so I had to buy it.

QOTD: Port. Be it Tawny or Ruby.

We like this format of the show. Every other day is nice to have a quick show just to relax.
QOTD: Dom Pedro I, because of the story with Ines de Castro, who was crowned by Dom Pedro I after her death by murder.

    qotd: the rolls!
Although I do believe there is knowledge in these short, one wine episodes, I do feel that it is lacking the charm and charisma of the longer shows.
Is theere still a wltv party on Sept 25th?

GV – Again, I like this format! Just keep it fresh!

QOTD: I love the value and the different grap varieties!

This format is fine to throw in a couple of times a week with the usual variety of a 3-wine show, same varietals, same region, blind-tastings and an occasional guest and some on the road telecasts that don’t have too much backround noise. Mix it up–that’s what you do best. I feel like you’re trying to cram too much info and speed-talk to get everything into this window of time. I appreciate the educational aspect, but I feel like I’m in school and should take notes. Keep it real with a little chit-chat. That’s what we love about you!!

    QOTD: Port.

  • QOTD: Great and reasonably priced seafood and wine. A fantastic place to holiday in.

  • QOTD: the surf and the beaches
