This is my favourite episode ever. As a fellow Jets fan, that is exactly how I felt and exactly as I acted. We’re not greedy – just one Superbowl will do. Just one.

  • Oh, wait. I guess I did have more to say (show): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EHtttx6P7kg

For anyone who missed it during the game, yes, this is the Sanchez-Brunell uhm…incident.

I actually was pulling for the Jets, even after you beat us last week. So I empathize. I wonder if that first glass was really Bourbon.
    This too shall pass. Cheers.

    Gary, Gary, Gary,
At least you came out today to share your pain. I hope the Hudson makes the rest of your day go a little more smoother!
See you on i-tunes the rest of the year.

  • Tough one, Gary. God I hate Rapelisberger and the Steelers, especially after the BS they got away with against our Seahawks in Super Bowl XL. Can’t stand ’em.

Great show though. Bourbon was a good choice.

Love the avatar; I can?t believe I have not noticed this one sooner!

  • Hey Greg – HERE WE GO STEELERS BABY!! SEAHAWKS ARE NOT EVEN A TEAM

  • Where is Cleveland

Damn I really wanted to see LT cash one in, hate it when Hall of Famers go out without a ring.

  • John__J

I was surprised to even see a new episode was done today. You know a lot of us are feelin for ya Gary.

A shame it was under such circumstances cuz doing an episode without any dialogue really was an awesome idea.

GV, this video pulled me out of lurkerdom so deep I needed a miner’s hat to find you, but I felt compelled to give you the proverbial pat on the shoulder with the slight bro-squeeze……….. There. OK, I’m going back now.

  • Here We Go Steelers! Gary, you should of had a glass of wine with us in Pittsburgh, Tough one, just happy we hung on 🙂

in the end 31 teams fan bases feel the same way you are today. that’s the great thing about the nfl 1 team wins it all and everyone else has to wait till next year.

  • RJeman2000 Welcome!!!!

I’m from the burgh and I know how you feel. I know you don’t think I do but we lost many championship games through the years.

Feel better dude. You the man!

    Yours,

So Gary, I’m not a big fan of football, but I watched the game last night, not very impressed with what I saw. It’s unfortunate, but they did not play well. Sorry about it, we all know what a big fan you are, better luck next time. Sal B

  • Dude. It’s one thing to hear folks talk about “being transparent” when all is going well. This video shows what it’s really all about… being transparent with your feelings, even when you’re hurting.

Thanks for sharing with all of us. We feel your pain, man. Really. [raising my glass to you]

I feel your pain. The Steelers did it to me a week earlier when I went us to see them play the Ravens. I wanted us to hos the JETS in Baltimore yesterday in THE worst way. Go Pack Go!!!

  • Anonymous

Oh Gary I hate to see you so down.I did laugh my ass off watching but I know your pain is real. The only up side is you will not have to pay as much to buy the Jets now.

I’m a ‘Burgh native, Steelers fan, and new viewer to your great site. Damn, your pain comes through on this video. I feel for you, buddy; the Jets came so-oooo close to pulling this out because I know what Rex & Co. to make an offense miss a beat. Difference, in the end, had to be Big Ben, and a few little things.. I hope your AFC roots are deep, and you are pulling for Tomlin’s crew to bring it back “lucky 7” back from Big D. In reality, the Jets had a very good year, yours is no disgrace!

    GV….Classic!!!

Hey, chin up… the Jets will be back and that super bowl win will feel that much sweeter!!!

but the announcer won’t be able to remember their names….

Gary I hate to see you in such pain.I did laugh my ass of watching but I know the pain is real. The only up side is that you will not have to spend as much to buy the Jets !

  • Globex

perfectly appropriate! My wife was just asking what wine to pull for dinner when I turned on the big screen to watch this via the Apple TV instead of my computer or iPhone, then she said perhaps a jug of Hudson may be the perfect pairing with this sting.

    Poor Gary.

They did have an impressive come back. Sorry it wasn’t enough…

Wearing you heart on your sleeve? Well as a Knicks fan, I can sympathize, since the NYK would have won a least one championship back in the 90’s *IF* Michael Jordan was not in the NBA. You know it. In any case I feel your pain. Gotta admit last nights game was exciting. But you were up against a super bowl champ in Big Ben so it was gonna be tough no matter what. I came away respecting Mark Sanchez a lot more than I did prior to the game, the way he shook off his pain to play and lead them oh-so close. I also think that the Jets super bowl was the Patriot game so they were probably a bit spent going into Pittsburgh. Now go drink some god-damn wine. 🙂

  • Raiders Vs Jets next year in the AFC Championship. Mark your books GV. See you pal.

  • Seriously? Imagine how much you’d have to pay for the team if they’d won that game. Remember: it’s a marathon, not a sprint. Gary Vee doesn’t get to buy the Jets who play for the Lombardi Trophy in 2011…

  • Well I waited to come back until yesterday to avoid football, but I don’t mind this one because I feel ya bro. That was a tough one indeed. Maybe you are just going to have to be the owner that leads them to the promised land yourself. Maybe Woody Johnson is just like Moses in the wilderness. He can get the team ready but he isn’t allowed to take them all the way.

  • It’s because you shaved the playoff beard!!!

Woulda, shoulda, coulda. Tough loss and almost legendary comeback. If it is any consolation, I was pulling for the Jets all through the playoffs.

  • Let’s not forget how big of an epic fail Nick Folk was…

  • David M Roberts

That was seriously brilliant. Can’t believe I actually watched all 5 mins of it, though!

Tough loss, indeed, and I WOULD feel bad for you, but you have a killer job, a hugely watched show with great fans (such as myself), and a great fam. So…. on that note…

    GO PACK! 🙂

  • Anonymous

Tough luck Gary, but you can take some comfort in your Jets at least MAKING it to the playoffs. They had a heck of a run with a lot of people rooting against them the whole way.

At least you’re not a Panthers fan. You would have died of alcohol poisoning two months ago.

Pathetic. Even Rex Ryan is already talking about next year. Did Mott mope when the Giants didn’t make it to the SB? Get your s..t together Vaynerchuk.

Heck . . . you could have at least reviewed the bourban!

  • Anonymous

Nice episode. I had a feeling you might do this. It made me laugh. At least you got this far. I’m a Giants fan.

  • i do agree, more facial hair could have helped this situation.

    It’s yummy!

42 years summed up quite well in 5:00! My oh my…funny…but not funny at all! Hang in there brother. This too shall pass…

I would have reacted the same way, if not worse. I understand what you’re going through, Gary.

  • Anonymous

you would have thought his new puppy died

    agreed

Oh man…we here in Chicago feel your pain. I felt like you did all day and had to teach 7th grade to boot. Needless to say, it was a waste. You’ve inspired the husband to break out the bourbon. Sad days, sad days.
