Line of the day, Sasha – ‘I nailed it’ Gary ‘No – you agreed with Robert Parker’

Good show – I like the way Gary has so much more knowledge and insight into the wines tasted but doesn’t make Sasha feel bad for not knowing so much. Classy

Guilty. I have no patience….young wine is good! 96.2% of wine is made to drink withing a few months of bottling. IMHO.

Justin was late! Who is in charge at that library? Quiet please…….

    Me too. Where you at?

If Sasha says they’re worth 60 bones, they are worth 60 bones. Qpr!

Great comment, I forgot about the episode where sasha ruins hundreds of episodes of Gary’s political correctness to ask a political question of the day.. Gary was so bummed.

  • Big G, It’s so great when you have your Dad on the show. What’s great is we get to see the best of you. So honest, I love it. As far as the cab all I can say is I love me some Shafer.

QOTD: Like the madden prediction, Pitt 24 GB 20. Number 1 D is just too much for AR.

  • Paul Sheridan

    QOTD: Green Bay.

    Love Sasha.

Great to see Sasha and taste some premium Napa Cab!

QOTD: Sorry, fellas- Steelers are going to take the whole kit and caboodle.

Definitely bring Sasha back for 1000!

The Sasha shows are always my favorites. Love the interaction between the two of you.

QOTD: think the Packers are gonna take it.

QOTD: Steelers, Steelers, Steelers! It will be a tough game. Green Bay is good but I think the Super Bowl excitement will get to them. Look for false starts, missed-cues on passes, pressure from the Defense, and an interception.

Great show! Always love the shows with Sasha. My prediction is that Green Bay will win. As a Jets fan, I am hoping Green Bay will win, as well.

  • Randall

Interception? Sorry, WineTechie… Fav-ruh is no longer their QB.

One of the BEST shows EVER!!! SASHA, big ass glasses, the Brown Bags + Cheese at the end (TKS Justin) Mott making noises, Kkkkkkkk?!! JUST GREAT!!!

The synergy between you and dad is awesome!

Great wines too, you and dad nailed quite right on the wines evaluation. Congrats!

    QOTD: Green Bay.

    haha. time will tell. :*)

    Packers.
Really nice set of wines even with the one 89 point. Always love the brown bags and especially the big ass glass. Couldn’t tell value wise on any of these. All high priced Cali Cabs.

    Steelers! 24-21

  • Taking the Steelers 27-17

Love the interaction between GV and SV. The two of them together took center stage and made the wines an after thought.

QOTD: I think the Steelers have watched a lot of the second half of the GB-Chi game on how to contain the Packers, so I will take Pitt.

Oh audiofan, you speak so eloquently on the intricacies of winemaking and the aging of said wine. I have come to love your dissertations on the state of the wine industry. You must be a avid Oenophile, please keep enlightening us. πŸ˜‰

Good idea to throw down the brown bags with Sasha! Always a treat to see him on the show! Father and son for 1000?

    Steelers 24, Packers 21
Going to be a close game, but big Ben has the ability to make plays when most needed. Difficult to put stats on that.

  • so this show proves that there is a thing like 90 points expensive reds from California? But are they gopod QPR?
Son and dad had almost similar scores, that is nice
I wonder if Gary’s mom should be on at ep 1000….

QOTD:ΓΆhh, a tie at full time and a fluke decide every wich way?

  • he is.

  • Cross your fingers.

  • let us all remind the peeps that swedes are good for redwings

Hey Anders, I think we might have caught up to you on the snow level. We just had a blizzard com through on Wednesday and dumped over 20″ of the white stuff. We are also in the negative temperatures, but we are supposed to climb up to the upper 20’s this weekend with more snow. We probably have over 30″ on the ground right now. I do know we have drifts over 5 feet. I’m just say’n! πŸ˜›

Good show, nice to see POPS again!! Gary, remember that your dad is always right no what whether he is or not. Green bay is going to win.

Would you say that you can fing the same caliber of wine from another region for $25 to $35 instead of $55 to $65.

    Now what are your thoughts???

  • great how Sasha is checking his watch at the intro…like “I really should be working…”

  • and “no food…

  • have to crack up over sasha’s mood in the beginning, very low-key while gary’s firing away, but then he lost the camera-shy!

that is a good question from kfrost29. for the same price, can you get the same quality elsewhere? and what regions would deliver body, balance and soul for $35 vs $55? is bordeaux out all together? or no, if considering all the cru bourgeois?

QOTD: who cares? the jets are out;)

  • Justin to the rescue…the wines showed well, but you know Sasha needed the bread and cheese.
Glad to to Papa V back on the show and being fed.
Healthy competition as usual, but Price is right style means overbids are out though …
    QOTD: CBS
