    Gary, isn’t Tannat originally from the Southwest region in France, which is to the south of Bordeaux? I could be wrong but what I heard before was that the Madiran appellation in the Southwest grows Tannat traditionally… oh by the way, #CKC: Michigan State University. We love you here man, definitely come down for your book tour. East Lansing MI, not a huge town but it houses a school of 50,000 students and the school owns a restaurant that holds Best of Award of Excellent from the Spectator.     Tannat actually does have history in bordeaux, so don’t just recite wikipedia info.

    Just had a Tannat from Uruquay lately and I was not happy with it at all. Fake fruit, bad structure.

    No and No! I do have an iTouch which was an upgrade from a Gen 4 iPod. I am a Techie and really enjoy my DroidX. It does everything I need and then some. I’ll wait till more Android OS tablets show up later this year.

    Just got iPhone yesterday. It’s been fun! only app i have so far is angry birds lol…addicting….no iPad, but love my mac!! UVA is where we are now. Husband doing grad prog. Want to try Chinon. Will discuss with wine class tonight!

    Unfortunately I only have a MacBook Pro and an iPod touch. iPhone plans are wicked expensive in Italy, and I’m holding out on the iPad for another generation or two, when it has received a coupld upgrades. Good episode, I dig S. African whites, the others I’ve yet to try.

I’ve been watching the show for about 2-3 months and I’ve been into wine for about 12-18 months now. I really enjoy your show, keep rocking it! My question of the day for you: Do you know any great books about terroir and grappe varietals, from an historical perspective?
